Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool movie is a go.

This comes the same week as official confirmation of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange and the cast of Suicide Squad (starring Will Smith!).

Yeah, I don't want to sound like I'm playing favorites to one universe over another, but it really looks like Fox and DC might as well just give the fuck up now.

Is the Suicide Squad movie set in the same DC Movieverse as Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice? WB has been slapdash about multiple continuities. Some of their TV properties share universe but others don't.

And Kristen Ritter as Jessica Jones* and a possible Luke Cage.

*A casting I do not agree with. She's good, but I don't see her as Jessica Jones.

I must admit, I know almost nothing about Jessica Jones.

DC really has been crazy with the continuities. On the one hand, The Brave and the Bold and Young Justice cannot coexist with Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go because it might be confusing. On the other, there are two different Barry Allen's because they won't make TV and movies one continuity. Never mind it's actually worked for the guys they seem to be copying from two steps behind.

Also DB showed me test footage of Deadpool and it surprisingly really didn't suck.

Hugh Jackman's Instagram post: "Wolverine - One last time." Nerds assuming this means Wolverine 3, set for 2017, will be his last turn as Logan.

He is in his mid-40s and won't look like he does now for much longer. It'll suck to see him go, but it's probably time.

I just feel bad for the guy that has to follow him.

Agreed, the entire x-franchise would have been much worse without his commitment to the role. I remember being non-plussed when I saw his pic in character the first time, but he about 10 minutes into X-Men you realize he put everything into it. I can't imagine anyone else doing it now.

I love a lot of his work, but I had to unfriend/unfollow/unwhatever him on Facebook.
He's such a douche and his own biggest fan.
