So far, none of the Marvel/Star Wars Transformers have looked even remotely cool, but this upcoming Punisher Transformer actually looks like it could be one of the Transformers I remember from my youth.

Haven't been paying attention to those, but the movie Bludgeon and Animated Arcee are awesome if you were collecting the Classics for their throwback appeal.

I haven't bought received a Transformer since I was probably 7 or 8 (and I doubt I'm about to), but when I saw those pics it reminded of the classics, rather than those horrible looking current Movie/Marvel/Star Wars abominations.

I got excited about the Alternator line. So they cancelled it.

Then I got excited about the Classics/Universe line. So they cancelled it.

Then I got excited about Robot Heroes. So they cancelled it.

Hasbro hasn't done anything exciting in a long time.

If you're looking for something to watch TV tonight, I just saw a commercial for "Pawn Stars" on the History Channel. They go to someone's house to look at a Transformers collection. From the glimpse they showed, it looks like a bedroom floor covered in Transformers.

Yeah, I saw the episode.
He had like 4-5 of every or damn near every Transformer all the way back to '84.

It was estimated at $15,000-20,000. They offered him $5,000 because of how long it it would take to sell it all and the work involved. He turned it down. I don't blame him. He could do more selling it himself on ebay.

He tried to say how valuable some of it was because he had the original boxes, even though the damn things were out of the box.
Having the toy and the box is one thing, but having the toy still in the box is another.

$5000 was the original offer. They bumped the offer up to $10,000 but the guy still wanted $18,000. Still don't blame him. It was one hell of a collection.

I looked up that toy expert's store. It's either called "Toy Shack" or "702 Toys & Collectibles". Both stores have the same address (On Paradise between Twian and Desert Inn), which is just east of The Strip. Might try going by there this weekend.

TRU Exclusive Masterpiece Grimlock is coming soon. They are selling them early at the TRU booth at SDCC. I'm gonna pee with excitement.

Were those actually all Transformers? I could've sworn I saw an orange Sunstreaker in one of the ads, and assumed the collection was at least partly Diaclones and Micromen (the Japanese lines TF was based on). Could've been the lighting, though.

I'll get one if they're taking their rewards card there. $70 is a big chunk of the way to a $5 coupon, and, the way they have points expire, I could use those points to get there.

As I pointed out to 'nark at the con, there's only about five Transformers I'm excited to buy out of ALL the stuff they displayed.

it's going to be another crap year for TFs (or a good year if you want to give your wallet a break).

Funny, I want the same five, and only three others (Seaspray and the Cybertronian Megatron and Soundwave).

Isn't it funny that they're releasing Classics Cybertronian Soundwave, but haven't released a regular Classics Soundwave?

It's Hasbro you're talking about. Nothing surprises me. That Soundwave does look like the tits though.
