6" Marvel figures appear to be around $16 each. Ok, these are based off of comic images rather than actors.
McFarlane Sport Picks are $15 each. They are more like statues than anything else, but they are using the various sports teams logos, plus they scan the player's heads.
WWE 7" figures are somewhere between $10 and $15. They are very well articulated and some even have cloth robes/shirts. I even looked at some wrestling figure website forum. No real complaints about painting or overall quality. A couple complaints about figure selection, specific attires, and other minor details like missing tattoos. Mattel is pumping out waves on multiple lines.
Why are the 6" Star Wars figures $20? The price for the 3.75" Star Wars line is on par with Marvel and GI Joe.

Star Wars is just overpriced lately. Compare any fucking recent Joe figure, even those limited-articulation figures from the first two Retaliation waves, to any recent Star Wars figure, and it's clear that, if you're going only by quality of the toy, Star Wars loses by a wide margin.

So it's 1983 all over again?

Judging from the five points of articulation on most Star Wars figures, I'd say yes.
On the plus side, we all get to enjoy Thrillermania again!!

Now that I have the K-Mart exclusive sets, I have no idea what else is coming out. I just can't seem to keep track of what is coming out anymore.
By the way, the catapult is kind of cool. It actually launches the boulders.

Well, there's not much for the rest of the year. Black Series wave 2 is arriving nowish from online stores (for both scales), but I don't believe they're out at brick and mortar yet. 3 3/4" includes R2-D2, Pablo-Jill, Luminara, the mispainted 41st Elite Clone Trooper, Stormtrooper, and Mara Jade; 6" includes Han, slave Leia, Boba, and Greedo.
Amazon's Droid Factory set (with the five cancelled army builders and two cancelled build-a-droids) is apparently going to ship soon. They also have the Slave I and TIE Interceptor (both of which I still need to get).
TRU has the TVC Republic Gunship and the two Geonosis Jedi and clone sets. They also have Biggs' X-wing (and, going a little further back, the Endor AT-AT).
Then some stuff for Saga Legends, Mission Series, and the $20 vehicles, but I don't know when that'll be out. But overall it's pretty fucking limited right now.

I don't yet have Boba, but wave 2 of the 6" figures is fucking awesome. You guys can bitch all you want, but you're missing out on some seriously cool shit.

Saying I don't want 'em isn't exactly bitching.

The price is only part of my problem with them. The other part is that I just don't want to start another collection. I don't think my wife would be happy if I did. She tolerates me adding to the collections I currently have. Besides, I have plenty of other Star Wars crap that I never look at that is sitting in boxes and taking up space.
I've already forgot what else is coming out as far as Star Wars goes. I have the K-Mart sets. Is it safe to assume everything else is either prequel or OT characters that have been done many times over and that everyone is waiting until the February toy convention?

Well, there's not a whole lot else. 3 3/4" Black Series wave 2 is now hitting stores and wave 3 is coming in from online retailers. Aside from the stuff I mentioned a few posts up, that's it. For the record, wave 3 is Darth Plagueis, Vizam (Nikto gunner), Merumeru (Wookiee warrior), Commander Neyo, and The Clone Wars Mace Windu. Plagueis and Merumeru haven't been done before, Mace is the first realistic TCW version, and Neyo has a removable helmet for the first time with a TCW-inspired head underneath.
I'll be going to Toy Fair in February, weather permitting. It fucked up my plans last time, so I guess all I can do is hope it'll be more cooperative this time.

I saw Greedo and Leia today. Greedo had some shitty paint apps for a $20 figure, and Leia looked more like Harrison Ford than a lot of Han figures, no joke.

I want Boba, but then I wanted X-Wing Luke too until I saw him in person. Hopefully wave 2 is better (and hopefully I can find it soon).
