Anaheim will probably be the new permanent home for Celebration.
I'm surprised Disney hasn't attempted "Marvel-Con" in Anaheim yet.

I should get to meet lots of geeks now that Celebration will probably henceforth always be in Anaheim.

I'll be going for sure! If it stayed there the next few times, I would be more than fine with that. It's significantly less crazy than Orlando in August.

The panel was almost identical to Comic Con but with the addition of both Black Series 3 3/4" and 6" wave 3, which had already been seen earlier at the convention. Oddly, they didn't show the Jedi sets, but it seems fairly light for the rest of the year.

Same presentation, eh? Between Star Wars and GI Joe, Hasbro really doesn't want my money this year. It seems like they are just putting out less stuff...and reverting back to 5 points of articulation.
Speaking of Jedi sets, my nearby Target still has a couple Geonosis 2 pack sets from 2009. They just keep moving them around from endcap to endcap, never putting them on clearance.

You sure they didn't go on clearance, not sell, and go back to the original price? I've seen that happen more than once.

It's also possible they're on clearance and some lazy employee just didn't bother to stick that little red tag on 'em. You might swipe one of them under a price scanner just to make sure.

I don't care how much they cost, I'm not buying them. This is the same Target where I found a couple dusty and beat up POTJ Bespin Guards at in 2010. At least those were marked down to $1.16. These Jedi sets have just been sitting out there on the shelves.

I saw the 6" figures today at a KMart. They were kind of cool, but now that I've seen them in person, I'm sure I'm not interested. Actually, the Sandtrooper almost looked a little too buff in the chest area.
After that I went to a Target. It is an older store and they just started renovating it. The last toy aisle had some clearance stuff, including a couple Mcfarlane Sports NBA figures from 2002 and about 5 POTJ Amanaman figures. In case you were wondering, they were $4.06.

How on earth is that even possible, that they'd have the Amanaman figures. Wow.
For what it's worth, I passed on the 6" figures too - the R2 looked like an oversized POTF2 figure.... yeah, no thanks.

I asked the manager. Apparently aliens from the Bermuda Triangle took them, entered a time warp, and dropped them off on their way to Area 51.

I bet someone was "returning" figures they bought at a garage sale for a quarter and the employees were too stupid to know the difference.

That sounds pretty likely actually.
Oh, and OCD update - somewhere over the last few days I decided it would be good to try & figure out which lightsabers go with which figures, you know for selling purposes. Now I'm sitting here spending good amounts of time deciding which of 2 IDENTICAL fucking sabers should go with which figure, in case someone chooses to buy it. There is NO WAY anyone would ever be able to tell them apart, let alone bitch that I sent them the wrong saber - yet I agonize over it. Same with Blasters based on shininess and handle thickness. This is not quick work.

I'm not too sure about the returning thing. There were 5 or 6 Amanamans plus 2 Allen Iverson figures. The Iversons were in in the typical clear plastic packaging and looked a bit dusty. Plus, it is an older Target which is in the middle of being renovated. If the store wasn't being renovated, I would buy the return theory.

Fuck I guess Jimmy Hoffa might be found back there too then.

Saw the 3.75" figures this weekend and wasn't impressed. Not sure if it was the case I saw, but the paint jobs didn't look right. Both Biggs figures orange jumpsuits looked like they were left in the sun for too long. Luke's jacket looked tan or kahki and I thought it was supposed to be more of a yellow color. Vader didn't impress me at all. It looked about the same as all the other recent figures. I didn't really check out the others.

I was thinking about trying to sort my accessories and figures because I'd like to get rid of some of the old versions. Not sure if I want to put that much work into them yet. Also, I don't know who would buy them.
