Strange World. This movie is fantastic and amazing and every frame was a visual masterpiece. I’m so glad I watched it on the big screen and I am angry that the rest of the world didn’t go see it and caused it to flop at the box office, which will give it an undeserved patina of failure, because it was fucking beautiful.
Really? The few trailers I saw looked pretty terrible. I hope this is a fluke and Disney isn't reverting to the early 21st century, where they could botch the marketing for any movie and make any masterpiece look like shit.

I'm mostly posting the link here so I don't lose it or forget about it.

Clerks III.
A movie for fans, an autobiography, and greatest hits flick.
I'm mixed on it. Overall, I think I liked it, but Kevin Smith made some pretty odd choices I wasn't happy with.
-Elias' drastic change (no, not him getting unrecognizably bigger) felt very sitcom-esque.
-Killing Becky shortly after Clerks II really retrosctively dulls that movie.
-Killing Dante and letting him die a sad, broken man was a total Rian Johnson move. Pretty unnecessary.
-Finding out what happened to Randall's movie would have been nice to see (Smith tells us in a voice-over near the end of the credits).

I had no idea that Clerks III was out.
Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Fuck Grandpa Joe. Sure he seems nice, but he lied in bed for 20 years, but as soon as Charlie gets a golden ticket, he pops right out of bed. Meanwhile, Charlie's mom works her ass off and Charlie has a paper delivery route. The family is barely able to afford bread, but Joe used money on tobacco? In the factory, he calls Violet a nitwit for not listening to Wonka, but 2 minutes later, he talks Charlie into stealing Fizzy Lifting Drink, nearly killing both of them. Fuck him. Maybe he was different in the book and the Johnny Depp version. On a side note, Willie Wonka was totally going to bang Mike Teevee's mom.

Also, Charlie has all the signs of a gambling addiction. They can barely afford anything, but every time Charlie finds extra money, he’s off to the candy store to buy a “lottery ticket” in the form of diabetes. “I can feel it. This time for sure” is classic red flag. Get help, you little turd.

Avatar 2. It certainly won’t be winning any writing awards, and the plot is pretty straightforward, but I was entertained for three hours. It hit the emotional beats it should(although subtlety thy name is NOT James Cameron) And it’s magnificent to look at. Probably worth seeing on the big screen for the spectacle, but not essential. Hopefully the next one won’t be another decade.

Glass Onion. It was enjoyable, but it seemed way more hammy than the first one if that's even possible.

I enjoyed it. I liked the last shot of the movie is her doing the Mona Lisa pose.
“Duke don’t dance with pineapple.” is becoming my new favorite movie quote for when I don’t want to do something.

Dungeons & Dragons. I love when I go to a movie with little to no expectations and come out having a totally fun two hours. This movie was great. Lots of banter, lots of action. It never takes itself seriously, but it also never eyerolls at the nerdy source material. And you need zero knowledge of DnD to enjoy it.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods - DC's version of a Marvel movie gets a sequel. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one.
I loved the first film and this was a lot of fun, despite a few typically predictable bits, and a forced cameo.

The first four Bourne movies are on Netflix. Watched and enjoyed them all, even the underrated Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner.
Smokey and the Bandit I and II. The first one is dated but still fun to watch. The second one not so much. But six year old me thought the finale mega car battle between the cop cars and the semis in the sequel was the height of cinema action, so it was fun to rewatch it 43 years later.
The Raid. Super violent action flick. I vaguely remember the guys from Kanji Club were in some low budget asian action film. This was that film. There’s a sequel that I’ll try to get to.

I haven’t watched Asteroid City yet(might go tomorrow) but heads up that Wes Anderson continues his trend of getting A-list actresses to do full frontal nudity. This time it’s Scarlett Johansson.

Oppenheimer. Nolan’s heavy biopic about the creation of the atomic bomb, and the ostracizing of its creator in the years that followed. Florence Pugh’s titties are on display throughout. I’m pretty sure she has more scenes where she’s completely nude than she does scenes where she’s clothed.

Mortal Kombat. Cheese remake that came out a couple years ago. Hard R rating, lots of bloody, violent ‘fatalities’ and mostly crap performances. Hiro Sanada as Scorpion, and the guy playing Subzero were pretty badass. I hooted when he yelled “Get over here” and my fiancée called me a fucking nerd. Whatever, it’s MK so I liked it.
Nobody. I thought this was a parody of the John Wick movies. I mean c’mon Bob Odenkirk goes off because someone stole his daughter’s kittykat bracelet?? That sounds like a parody right? Nope, just a straight up fantastic action flick. Bonus points for casting Christopher Lloyd as his shotgun toting father fucking people up. Absurd in the best way.
Air. Affleck and Damon telling the story of how Nike recruited Jordan. This movie is set in 1984 and they never ever ever ever let you forget it. The opening credits montage alone is full on love letter to the year. And the soundtrack is banging. Chris Tucker makes a rare appearance in a supporting role, Jason Bateman is great, and you can tell how much fun Damon and Affleck are having whenever they’re onscreen together. Even knowing the outcome, it’s a great movie.
Good Omens 2. The second season of Gaiman and Prachett’s series about an Angel and Demon saving the world from the neverending battle between Heaven and Hell. Hilarious. Tenant and Sheen are perfect together. If you’ve never seen this you are missing out.

It wasn't exactly what I expected, but it wasn't bad. It took me a bit to realize they were introducing new characters. The 90s MK movies were cheesier.

Affleck and Damon are 51-52 years old, so they were right there with us as kids. Since you mentioned it was set in 1984 and that the soundtrack was good, I had to look it up. The soundtrack looks pretty solid, but there were a few songs that were from '85 and '86. One of the things that annoys me about biopics is that they spend so much time making things accurate, then messing up a detail like a soundtrack. Like in Bohemian Rasphody, Freddie Mercury didn't know he had Aids during the Live Aid concert.
