Sweet. Always nice to find something cool you didn't know you had!

Battle Scars #1 & #6 from 2012 might be an affordable pick up.
1st 616 appearances of Coulson and black Nick Fury.

I'm pretty sure I have part but not all of that set. When the store screws up & fails to provide issues it stands out in mind.
I'll have to have a look next time I'm home.

I remember I got those when they came out, and then after they appreciated in value, I discovered my issue 1 had a big tear on the back cover. Somehow I lucked into finding another copy for cheap.

Since they have canonically introduced Red X(Robin’s alt ‘evil’ identity from the Teen Titans Go! Cartoon) into the DCU during the current Future State “Event” in all the DC books for the past two month, on a whim I looked up his first comic appearance in the Teen Titans Go comic series from 2004-2008.
And according to my missing issues list, I am NOT missing issue 23, which has skyrocketed in the past few weeks up to $250-300 bucks. Now, im not exactly sure where the book is, nor am i confident of its condition, because i was buying those books for my 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son(their reading materials were...not meticulously archived like the rest of my books) But I'm pretty sure I at least have it stashed somewhere.

Saying it again here for posterity:
Punchline's first cameo appearance, Batman #89 is going for $60 (standard) and $45 (variant).

I finished the batch I got between 2010 and 2012. Not including the current ongoing Marvel books at the time, nor any of the DCNu52 stuff.
Ended up adding an additional 10,068 books with a “value” of $42k.
Highlights include
Amadeus Cho’s first appearance in Amazing Fantasy 15.
Batgirl 12. An early Artgerm cover.
Shuri’s first cameo and full appearances in Black Panther.
Carnage USA miniseries. Because of the covers?
Suicide Squad 48. Barbara confronts Joker after being paralyzed.
Miles Morales’ first appearance in Ultimate Fallout.
America Chavez’s first appearance in Vengeance.
Next up, either the DCNu52 stuff from 2011-2018, or the regular back issues I accumulated between 2013-2015.

I just found them in my book logs and they’ve appreciated in value to the tune of $266. So thanks for that! One of the many reasons you are and continue to remain awesome!
nope, t'weren't me, but i know i'm awesome for other reasons, anyway.

As i continue to log books, I find books I own that have unexpectedly skyrocketed. Case in point;
Bloodstone 1-4. A mini from 2001 and the first appearance of Elsa Bloodstone. First issue is at $100! Ka-ching! I’m pretty sure this was just a stack I grabbed because I was trying to stuff a long box at one of those shows, and I know I didnt have it, so into the box it went. Probably paid less than a buck for the whole series. EDIT I looked it up, and I actually found the four issues on four separate occasions. So after i found the third issue, I put the rest of the series on my list, but I found the other three relatively quickly.
Hidden gem indeed.
EDIT 2.0 Oh, and thank goodness I jumped on finding The Boys back issues back in 2013-2015. Wow.

Oh?
I've got them all except the first 6 - the SC issues. I started reading at #7.

Sadly, those are the expensive ones. 1st is $80, 2nd is $20, 3rd is $50, then they drop down to the $8-10 range for a few issues, and the rest are basically cover price.

Well, shit.
But I do see Herogasm #1 is $25.

I'm sure I cashed in my Boys issues at a swap meet & wound up with mid grade reading copies of various bat books that got recycled. Such is the life of the comic nerd. :**(

It doesn’t matter how many key books I have that are “valuable”, to me those are taken for granted. but I get perturbed at the ones I don’t have, because at some point they were cover price or in a dollar bin somewhere and I didn’t get them.
Like I was on and off buying Captain Marvel. I’d buy an issue, skip an issue, buy two issues, skip an issue, buy one, THEN SKIP Ms Marvel’s FIRST APPEARANCE...

I feel that. I jumped off Avenging Spider-Man just in time to miss Carol's debut as Captain Marvel.
