Football

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

I don't know who I want to root for?!?!?! See an undefeated team run the full table and make history? or pull for the underdog and see them upset the Pats; which I wouldn't mind seeing at all! I'm at a loss here. Help? Either way, it better be a good game.
"Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery."

I'm pulling for the Giants only because I hate the Patriots.

I might watch part of the game so I can see how they screw up the Tom Petty halftime show.

Remember my prediction: Tom Petty plays "Runnin' down a dream"

I'm rooting for the Patriots, I hope they blow out the Giants.

Should be a close game, though.

Ummm...you guys must NOT have seen RB's post. It's already Monday morning here and the game is done. The Giants won.

BTW, Tom Petty did NOT play that song. Sorry.

Slicker, did you have to work today? When I was in Korea, they gave us off on Super Bowl Monday off. Of course, we had to watch the game during breakfast.

O yes they gave us the morning off. It's like 10 in the morning and it's half time.

They got the hangar bay darkened out with the elevator doors closed and they've got a big projection screen set up. I'm just watching it alone in my shop since I could care less about either team and I don't care to see all of the fake ass Patriots fans complain about every little thing.

Eli Manning winning MVP of that game is like handing out a "Least Retarded" award at the Special Olympics.

Intense final quarter of the game. I didn't really give a shit who won, but I guess it did my heart good to see the G-Men win, as I used to be a fan of them years ago. I LOL'd at Plaxico Burress's fake-ass crying, though.

In case you care, the commercials suck more than Slicker's mom.
Damn, was that right. The only ones worth watching was the "Iron Man" spot, which completely fucking kicked ass, and it was more exciting than the first half of the game and the halftime show combined and the Doritos big mouse commercial. The Charlie Brown/Underdog/Stewie Coca-Cola commercial was alright, though. But other than that, these were the worst batch of Super Bowl commercials in recent memory.

And Tom Petty is the walking dead now. Next year they had better have a kick-ass show with either Aerosmith, Metallica, The Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, or all of them combined to compensate for fucking up classic rock.

Since I hate both teams, I was rooting for the Pats purely out of the historical significance of 19-0...

but congrats to the Vagiants for pulling it off.

I was listening to the game more than watching it. When I looked up and saw Burress crying during his interview, I changed the channel.

Think the Pats regret going for it on 4th down instead of kicking that field goal?

Sorry, but he looked like Gary Oldman in the end of "Dracula". Not dissing his music, but it just goes to show that the Super Bowl Halftime Show has become almost like a kiss of death. They need an injection of Metallica to bring it back.
