The green guy looks like a modified Kermit. I keep forgetting that Sesame preceded The Muppet Show by several years. Those old clips bring back memories!

I just saw this today, and I posted my two cents elsewhere....
It was a great movie, one of Burton's best, even though it's not "his" story. But he did bring a great style to it. I'm no particular fan of musicals aside from the Disney films I saw as a kid, but this was a good one. "Sweeney Todd" is a great revenge story. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton both deserve Oscars for this movie. Even though it's a long shot, I do hope they at least get nominated. The cast was amazing. Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Sacha Baron Cohen all did a spectacular job. But Burton really went back to his darker roots, which we haven't seen in almost ten years. Overall, if you're a Burton fan, or a horror fan in general, you won't want to miss this movie.
Go see it.

Trailer came out a few days ago. It looks like it's been re-imagined as a comedy. Truth is, as much as I really, really want Burton to fucking prove he still has an original idea, it looked incredible.

Remember when they tried revamping Dark Shadows in the 90s as a serious drama? That was my first exposure to DS. I never realized it was a remake until later. It had Ben Cross and a delicious young Joanna Going on it. And a very young Cobra Commander.
