Or you could wait until the new one comes out and they have a lower price on the DVD set. No DVD is worth selling Futurama sets.

I've had this habbit of getting season 1 of various cartoon TV series and not watching them. I have Season 1 of The Tick, Drawn Together, Simpsons, Futurama, and South Park. Then I have the last season of Ren & Stimpy (wife bought it for me last year and I have yet to open it). Since I don't watch any of these, I might as well ditch them to get something I'll watch. Between syndication and my lack of interest, I'll keep The Tick and probably Ren & Stimpy, but the rest might go. Its all part of getting old I guess...one day you wake up and realize your priorities have changed. Next thing you know you decide to back off SW collecting and dump some DVDs you don't watch. Indiana Jones is a classic and should be on my shelf...unless they ruin it with the next film.

I'd get the 3-pack myself. It'll likely go OOP a couple of months before #4 comes out. And, if what I've seen is any indication, none of us are going to want to own Indy 4: Harrison Is an Old Fart and Shia Pretends He's James Dean.

I'm bad about getting cartoon boxed sets myself. I tend to get them when they first come out and they're on sale. Unless it's something like Family Guy or South Park, which end up on sale a year later. I snatch them up because I really wanted GIJoe, was waiting to save money, and they all went OOP. BMG was going to bring them back as of a year ago, but the company locked up its home video division, and I'll be fucked if I know who has the rights now.

Just looked it up and Indy 4 comes out at the end of May. Maybe I can get it for my birthday in April.

Indiana should never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever find out what happened to the Ark of the Covenant, much less be in the same location as the Ark.

What's next, Citizen Kane 2, where forensic scientists sift through the ashes of Charles Foster Kane's belongings and discover the ink imprints that read "Rosebud" on the sled, then rebuild it and conjure up the spirit of Kane so they can give it to him? ET 2, where ET comes back to Earth, finds Elliott working for the Reese's company, and becomes the spokesalien for Reese's Pieces? Highlander 2, where we find out they were really aliens and ev--wait, they actually did that one, didn't they?

Fuck George Lucas. Fuck him in the ass with Steven Spielberg's dick. While Harrison Ford and Shia LeShitfuckhead are licking it. A bunch of over-the-hill motherfuckers who used their last bits of talent a decade or more ago, and are determined to piss on their legacies. Sean Connery was wise to stay away from this steaming pile of dog shit. I'll admit, it doesn't look like the same warehouse in the trailer, after all.

However, in about 15 seconds of new material in the trailer, I counted two "I'm too old for this" gags. And several scenes of Indy walking like an old man of 80.

I was hoping this would change my initial impressions, but it's very, very underwhelming.

That does not bode well.

I understand Lucas is planning an SE of TPM, which will feature Ford saying, "Ach! Me bones are achin', Ani!"

[candor]I don't want to say this elsewhere and give my detractors the satisfaction. Truth be told, I'd still like this movie to rock. I just refuse to get my hopes up after all the screwing around Lucas has done in the past decade. I know my outbursts of "Come the hell on!" and "This is retarded!" during Revenge of the Sith pissed off the people sitting around me. I'm just going to treat this like Transformers: I'll wait until people I trust have seen it first. (I'd put some stock in your opinion, too, DB, if not for your hatred of The Blues Brothers. )

Clone Wars II still looks like ass, though.[/candor]
