Whenever I'm flipping through the channels and see GI Joe Retaliation, I end up watching at least part of it to at least see the Snake Eyes/Jinx/Stormshadow mountain scene...and maybe a little bit to see Adrianne Palicki.

I bought a cheap DVD copy of Retaliation a few years ago and it’s still in the plastic. I’ve only seen it once.
I have unfortunately seen the first movie at least 4 times.

Can't remember if I mentioned Mare of Easttown or not, so I'll mention it. Basically a season of True Detective but a little soapier. It was dark but we both actually quite liked it. Twisty AND turny.

Mortal Kombat. Spent most of the film trying to figure out which character Cole was supposed to be. Apparently he was just made up for the film. Pretty decent movie.

Beverly Hills Cop 3. I didn't remember there being a 3rd Beverly Hills Cop movie, so I watched it. It was bad and was hate watching it by the end.

George Lucas has a cameo in it. He’s the guy trying to get on the ride, when Axel climbs in to save the kids.

His cameo was about the only thing that made sense in that scene.

Dune. Or Dune:Part 1 as it was revealed in the opening credits. It’s been a long while since I read the book and a longer while since I watched the Lynch version from the 80s. An all-star cast does a serviceable job of world building and the visuals are amazing.
But there’s a difference between a “cliffhanger” ending and cutting a book in two. And at the end of the day, I paid full price for half a movie.

I watched it on HBOMax also. I'm glad I didn't pay for it in theaters.
Decent, but too slow. Almost boring at times.
That being said, I might try to watch it again, and see if things are better now that I understand who's who and what's what.

I know so many people who act like it's a crime to watch it on HBOMax.
And I'm like "Fuck you, I'd never set foot in a theater again given the choice, and it's not my fault they can't get the royalty structure right."

There are people online complaining that Zendaya only has 7 minutes of screen time in Dune. I don't know when I'll get around to seeing it. It took me several attempts at watching the 80s version because I kept falling asleep.
Watched Shaun of the Dead last night. I just love the scene where they are beating the zombie in the bar to the beat of the Queen song.
I started watching the 1931 version of Dracula, but didn't get to finish it. Acting style has really changed since then.

Except for Chalamet, I bet most of the cast had about 7 minutes of actual screen time. I doubt any of the Harkonnens had 7 minutes, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, David Dastmalchian.
Javier Bardem only had a few minutes.
Momoa and Josh Brolin barely had 7 minutes. Oscar Isaac had maybe 10?
But dear god, let’s throw an internet hissy fit because Zendaya wasn’t in every scene.

The Marksman. 70 year old Liam Neeson is still making “action” movies. Even though he said he was gonna stop like ten years ago.
Legend of Zorro. Did you know Antonio Banderas made a sequel Zorro movie? Because I didn’t. I thought it’d be a hoot to rewatch the first one, and realized about five minutes in, the first one was the Mask of Zorro from 1998. Took them 7 years to make a sequel. Usually when you wait that long, no one is clamoring for a sequel. It was okay, but Banderas was looking as ragged as Hopkins was in the first film.

I recall the marketing for the second Zorro looking really bad and never watched it.
Slightly off-topic, but why doesn't someone get the rights to Zorro (if that's even a thing anymore) and try to combine as many Zorro stories into backstory for a new version set in the present (not the future, for God's sake). The Banderas movies, the classic films, the Isabel Allende novel (how is it not a bigger deal that a "serious" author wrote a genre novel and it was damned good?), even maybe an offhand nod to The Gay Blade? Seems a no-brainer to me.
