Jerzum, nark! That's a lot of comics!!
Daredevil: End of Days #3 - Sure are a lot of red-headed kids around Matt's old flames.
Did you notice Bendis and Maleev(I think) are the cops on the cover?
"No Tom Foolery today, Ron. I'm tired of looking at your dreadful, speckled mug."

Like I said, they're ordered. Though one comes out as soon as next week, they're kinda sporadic through the beginning of August.

Another dozen books. Next week is gonna be super light. Only Amazing Spidey 700. And then the year is done and I'm done with this stupid punishment.

NOBODY EVER SAID YOU WERE DONE AT THE END OF THE YEAR. THIS IS PERMANENT FOR YOU.

Whaaa?? Aw man, that's fuckin bullshit. Damn it all...
Anyway, here's your stupid twitter reviews.

Avengers 2. New badguy Ex Nihiilo gives his origin and explains how he's gonna kill everybody on Earth for their own benefit. Cap recruits Cannonball and Sunspot and a bunch of others to be Avengers.

Captain America/Black Widow 640. FINAL ISSUE. Cap and Widow stop the interdimensional mega corporation and its board of directors. Cullen Bunn is a boring writer.

Daredevil 21. DD escapes from the Coyote who is killed by the Spot. Matt has a reckoning with Foggy. Matt's new GF sicks the new Asshole Spider-Man on DD, not realizing its not the same Spidey.

FF 2. The new Faux-FF waits for the F4 to come back from their trip thru time space. When they don't show up, the n00bs have to fight MoleMan and a bigass monster.

Gambit 7. Gambit leads MI-13 to the badguys that stole all their mystical weapons in a big ol doublecross.

GIJoe 20. The big three way battle between the Ninjas, Cobra, and the Joes concludes. Leads into the finale in...

Snake Eyes/Stormshadow 20. The conclusion of Target:Snake Eyes! Stormshadow, revenge on his mind after SEs betrayal, infiltrates the Flagg and DESTROYS it as a diversion. DeepSix loses his arm, Cutter is killed, and the boat sinks as Snake and Stormy die together amidst the sinking conflagration*. Holy shit, a great issue. *But probably not really.

Hawkeye 6. Another fantastic issue that chronicles the evenings of Thursday the 13th thru Wednesday the 19th in Hawkeye's life. But not necessarily in order.

Scarlet Spider 12.1 A Point One issue. Kaine cleans up white slave trade in Houston.

Transformers MTMTE 12. An Event in chronicled both in the moments leading up to it, and the events following it simultaneously, culminating with 00:00 event itself on the final page. Amazingly written issue full of the usual pathos and humor you expect from this series.

X-Factor 249. Congrats to Peter David on his 100th issue of X-Factor, offcially now Marvel's longest running title. A volcano erupts in New York City and demons spew out. The Hell on Earth War begins.

All New X-Men 4. Cyclops and Magneto come face to face with the time misplaced O5 X-Men and nobody is happy with what they see.

Still peeved about having to do this indefinitely. Two books this week. Telling essentially the same story. Merry Christmas, chumps.

Amazing Spidey 700. and Avenging Spidey 15.1. By now I'm sure you all know what's happened to Peter Parker and Otto Ovtavius. I'm of the opinion there's no reason to get belligerent and upset. It's a temporary storyline. Just sit back and see where it goes for awhile. Your precious 'status quo' will be back eventually. The two backup stories in Amazing were pretty limp, considering it was the Final Issue(and it was $8 fookin' dollars!). The cover montages are always cool. The new Spidey costume looks like ass though. Why does Spidey need a tiny beak on his costume exactly? And the little thorny things on his fingers seems problematic. Try using a smartphone with thorns on your fingers. Or picking up your Starbucks soy vente latte without puncturing the cup. Dialing a phone. Picking your nose. Scratching your ass. Hell, even balling your hand into a fist is gonna cause problems. Whoever designed the costume didn't really think it through.
I was also set on dropping Avenging because the stories had become seriously weak, but with this status quo change, and I'll freely admit they name dropped Sleepwalker for an upcoming issue and that's what made me change my mind.

Spidey 700, GI Joe & Snake Eyes #20 of each. Daredevil 20 or 21, whichever the new one was - I still haven't read any Waid. Douche-moi got roped into Hickman Avengers 1&2 even though I promised everyone I wouldn't. Don't like the art so I think I'm done already, like I should have been before I purchased them.

My LCS had a whopping 75 percent off back issues so I scrounged for chunks of Secret Warriors & Journey Into Mystery (Gillen) that I didn't have. No complete runs which is a kick the fucking balls. Also got condition upgrades for some Epting Caps and an issue or two of each Avengers series that I was missing from just after the Heroes Return #1s, so I'm missing less of those now. Found one issue of GI Joe Origins I was missing, but I still need a chunk of that series.

3 series that kinda got left in limbo with me are Avenging Spider Man, the 4th Avengers series and Winter Soldier - I told my shop I would take them but I don't think I have ever received copies unless I've taken them off the shelf - I will have to go back later & see what I can do. Don't care enough as of right now.

Happy New Year, Bitches. 8 books this week.

New Avengers 1. First issue of Hickman's Illuminati Team. A bunch of Wakandan kid get killed by an interdimensional skank and T'Challa has to call in the assholes he despises: Stark, Namor, Strange, Blackbolt, and Cap. Damn, the Namor thing has to be particularly bitter what with Namor having DESTROYED WAKANDA during AvX.

Daredevil:End of Days 4. Bullseye kills himself in a seedy hotel room. Ben Urich is no closer to finding out what or who 'Mapone' is, so he visits Frank Castle in prison.

Cobra 20. Flint, Lady Jaye, and Chameleon go to rescue Ronin from Oktober Guard...and get their dumb asses captured also. This means the only chance of getting them out now...is Tomax. Anybody reading this series for the last 40 issues know this is a bad idea.

Nightwing 15. Part of the Death of the Family. Has a fancy Die-Cut cover. Joker is killing Haley's Circus people to get at Dick. Dick is apparently schtupping Tony Zucco's daughter. I'd love to see his therapy bill.

Punisher:Nightmare 1. A mini series by the producer of Walking Dead with art by Mark Texiera. A soldier's family is killed in mob crossfire. That hits close to home for Frank and he gets buy killing fuckers.

Red Hood/Outlaws 15. Another spiffy Die-Cut cover. Joker kidnaps Jason Todd and the Outlaws come to the rescue.

Teen Titans 15. Yet another snazzy Die-Cut cover. Joker kidnaps Tim Drake and the Titans come to the rescue.

All New X-Men 5. Old Beast reveals to young Jean the many deaths of Jean Grey via telepathy. Young Beast stabilizes old Beast's condition and he gets a spiffy new mutation(no more cat-Beast!) The O5 decide to stay in the future/present to "fix" things. Scott continues to recruit new mutants to his cause. The book continues to be good.

You haven't read ANY of Waid's DD yet?! Get on that, son! It's not as unforgivable as not having watched Firefly or Blues Brothers. Or not having read Game of Thrones. But get on that.

Journey into Mystery is fantastic.
3 series that kinda got left in limbo with me are Avenging Spider Man, the 4th Avengers series and Winter Soldier - I told my shop I would take them but I don't think I have ever received copies unless I've taken them off the shelf - I will have to go back later & see what I can do. Avenging Spidey I think you can forget about. The first arc was fun, but after that it deteriorated into leftover crap. Also I hate when they make a book $4 because it's got a big name like Joe Mad attached, then he leaves after a couple issues and you're getting c-list nobody creators, but still paying the $4. That's assy.
The Avengers sorta went on autopilot. I think Bendis ran out of ideas. I think the Ultron War was supposed to be his big finale and after that got pushed back because of AvX and because Hitch is such a goddamn slow cunt of an artist he(Bendis) just kinda coasted to the end of his run.
Winter Soldier is worth getting. I think Bru's final Cap series was weak because he wanted to keep writing Bucky. Barnes was always the more intersting character to him and it shows between the two series.

Last week:

Before Watchmen: Moloch #2 - The newly rehabilitated Moloch goes to work for Veidt, who is secretly poisoning Moloch, and we know how that ends.

Before Watchmen: Night Owl #4 - Nite Owl and the Twilight Lady look for Rorschach, who's about to be burned alive.

Catwoman #15 - Not a fucking clue what happened here. So incoherent. Been looking for a reason to scale back on my Bat-titles. Done.

Daredevil #21 - DD beats the teleporting baddies and Matt and Foggy duke it out verbally.

Hawkeye #1 & #6 - Got a 3rd printing of #1, which was great timing since it tied into #6.

This week (which I actually got back on Saturday, thanks to early shipping and a cool LCS):

Batman: The Dark Knight #15 - Bats nearly dies beating Scarecrow, because he had to spray his blood all over Gotham.

Daredevil: End of Days #4 - As previously stated: Bullseye offs himself, so Ben talks to Castle.

Fatale #11 - Still playing catch up.

Fury: My War Gone By #8 - Nick and Frank are captured in 'Nam and are going to be used as propaganda tools.

Punisher: Nightmare #1 - Frank takes interest when a soldier's family is murdered similarly to his own.

I missed a couple because they weren't on my pull list, so I'll see if I can still get them next time.

Robots in Disguise, Vol. 2: I already posted in the TF thread, but, no shit, the three IDW G1 Transformers titles are the three best books out there right now.

Atomic Robo: Real Science Adventures, Vol. 1: Though Atomic Robo is a very close contender for that title.

8 books this week, including a first issue. Even though it should be a 701st issue. Bastards.

Fantastic Four 3. The FF gets attacked by a carnivorous planet. Honestly, if this were Jack Kirby's book, we'd be on page 5 of the first issue. Decompression sucks a big one.

Game of Thrones 12. Bran gets attacked while riding his horse. Tyrion demands trial by combat in the Eyrie. Ned visits another of the king's bastards and after Jaime Lannister kills all his men. We're only on issue 12? Damn this book rolls out slow.

GIJoe ARAH 186. Falcon and a team go in to rescue Airtight and Dusty. Darklon and the Benzheen's El Presidente are about to test the krylon device. I think a bunch more Joes are about to go bye bye, y'all. Shit never ends well for Joes in Trucial Abysmia.

Punisher War Zone 3. The Avengers continue to attempt to bring Castle to justice. This time it's Thor's turn, but he ends up just having a couple beers with Frank instead. Oh, and Rachel gets the death penalty.

Scarlet Spider 13. Kaine comes up against the white slave traders who are after Aracely. Tens out its the Lobo Brothers. The old werewolf villains from Spectacular Spidey back in the 80s. Well, it's brother and sister now, because the other brother was killed eat back when. Oh, and they disembowel Kaine and start feasting on him on the last page.

Superior Spidey 1. Otto clashes with a new Sinister Six(which he finds offensive on a personal level). He also stares at MJs bewbs during dinner. Skeevy. Also Peter's 'conscience' is directing Otto to do good.

Transformers ReGen One 87. Grimlock returns to Cybertron. Skorponok springs his trap. And a thousand other things. They cram a lot into these issues. Unlike, say, the FF(see above).

Transformers RID 13. My jaw is on the floor. One of the MAIN Autobots is a dirty double crossing race traitor and everybody you root for in this book gets double crossed. Not the least of which are Bluestreak, Skyfire, and Warpath, who all lose their spark. (Although, it's hard to say that definitively because robots can get exploded in these books and get 'fixed' later on. There are some other bots who were dead in earlier issues, and are hale and hearty on the last page...so who knows.)

Last Week:

All New X-Men #5 - Missed #4 - Beast mutates again.

Batman: Detective Comics #16 - Death of the Family. Batman hunts Joker's thugs while the new Emperor Penguin continues to stake his claim over Penguins territory.

A Game of Thrones #12 - This is taking forever. Done.

Marvel Universe Vs The Avengers #4 - Hawkeye figures out Doom was full of shit, teams up with Punisher and meets up with Thor, where things get hilariously messy in very WTF moment.

Punisher: Nightmare #2 - Frank helps the soldier who's family was killed, until the guy gets shot in the head.

Punisher: War Zone #3 - Thor is sent to deal with Frank. They have a few beers and chat. Actually, pretty damn good.

Star Wars #1 - New ongoing (until it goes back to Marvel), which picks up a few months after A New Hope. Luke, Wedge and Leia (who is apparently trained to use an X-Wing) search for a new Rebel base location until they run into Imperial trouble. And Vader gets figuratively bitch slapped by Palpatine.

Thunderbolts #3 - Missed #2 - The team helps rebels overthrow a small country. Red Hulk plans on using a depowered Leader until Frank shoots him in the head.

This Week:

Batgirl #16 - Death of the Family. Babs marraige to Joker is interrupted by James Gordon Jr and is continued in The Death of the Family finale in Batman #17.

Batman #16 - Death of the Family. Bats takes out Freeze, Clayface and Scarecrow without breaking a sweat on his way to Joker's trap inside Arkham.

Batman & Robin #16 - Death of the Family. Robin fights a Joker poisoned Batman, who unsurprisingly isn't actually Batman, then is captured by Joker. Also continued in The Death of the Family finale in Batman #17.

Daredevil #22 - DD fight, then teams up with Doc Ock (he ain't Spidey, dammit) when Stilt Man shows up (good to knwo that you can survive a bazooka to the crotch). Matt patched things up with Foggy, who delivers some bad news.

Punisher: Nightmare #3 - Frank's new buddy survives his head being exploded due to some Government experimentation he had in the service, but now he's crazy. The cover says "In the shadow of Civil War" - and there are flashbacks to that story, but how fucking old is this script?

Please tell me you didn't actually read this comic and just made up the most random bullshit you could think of.

Please.

I'm begging you.

You know how you feel when Frankencastle morphs his symbiote to look like a 1990s knockoff Captain America so he can kill Stilt Man? That's exactly the same feeling I get reading that synopsis.

At least Batman's son and the other fourteen Batmen can save walking-again Barbara from Joker and his Club of Black Glove Villains, or whatthefuckever, so that Bruce's brother can kill him and take off his face next issue.

God, I fucking hate what DC has done with Batman.

Yeah, WTF? First of all, I remember a great scene during Bendis' run where Stilt-Man showed up and handed Matt his armor in a suitcase and said "I'm out. I'm moving to Cleveland." or something.
But secondly, they made a HUGE deal of Punisher killing Stilt-Man and then killing like a hundred villains at Stilt-Man's wake. Do the Editors at Marvel even do their fucking job anymore?! It just takes a tiny modicum of Internet research to check these things.

Mark Gruenwald is spinning in his grave.

Don't read too much into the wedding stuff. It's just Joker fucking with Babs.
The Jr shit is kinda stupid though - he's been stalking Babs for a while now.

They also retconned that slaughter at Stilt-Man's wake so most of them survived, making Frank really bad at his job.

Asses.
