how is that different than any other movie studio? the saving grace is that the people saying that actually care about the direction of the films as a whole and the characters within them.

I didn't mean to suggest it was any different, rather this seems to be why all folks leave all studios - if it's not a money issue. Creative difference or whatever.

I've never seen Stardust and I don't really remember his from Boardwalk Empire.

Stardust was pretty good. There was a bit of a Princess Bride vibe to it in the sense that it mixed comedy and fantasy. It had more violence than Princess Bride and was a bit darker. Its worth a watch if you have a chance.

I wanna say I've seen Stardust, but can't remember a thing about it. Did it have DeNiro and Pfieffer in it? Was Cox the main guy in it?

Yes, Pfieffer was the villain. Charlie Cox was the main character. DeNiro was sort of a sea captain-type character. Everyone is after Claire Danes for various reasons. Ricky Gervais even had a small part. It has the same director as X-Men: First Class.

I'd seen it. I just found it very forgettable. It was a Niel Gaiman story, as it's now sorta coming back to me.

I actually own it. I bought it when a video store was going out of business.
It wasn't until weeks later when I grabbed it to watch it that I realized it was fullscreen.

Holy fucking shit, I've tried six times to post my reaction to the announcements today, but each time I splooge all over the keyboard and have to clean it and start over.
