I'd be much obliged if y'all could help me keep an eye open for the Target exclusive Night Spectre (a black repaint of the SHARC). I must have a complete set of the original team, and Grand Slam is a must.

Hasbro also has a 20% off coupon (GETOUT20), and has the Legions in stock for $25. I think I'm going to wait a few days and see if any of the many "coming soon!" figures are made available.

Out of curiosity, what have you guys passed on?

I've passed on:
Serpentor (though I'm definitely getting the re-issue that comes with the chariot, and with Steeler)
Duke/Cobra Commander 2-pack (couldn't see a point; just minor paint differences)
Scarlett/Hawk 2-pack (crossing my fingers that I find the Hawk/Grunt/Duke set)
Snake Eyes vs Red Ninjas (too... many... ninjas... for a lower price, I might've gotten it)
Cobra Night Watch (ditto, though this one looks cooler)

Double Post. Grimlock's a fag.

I'm reading the new Toyfare and see pictures of the Weather Dominator and Mass Device toys. Ha ha! Fucking cool!

But I'm still not collecting these...

Rollo, if you happen across the Night Spectre (a repainted SHARC that's a Target exclusive), can you grab one for me? It's the only way to get Grand Slam, without whom my original team lineup would be incomplete. Target sucks balls about having exclusives on their site.

I'm about to put out an APB on this set, too. That's the only way to get Grunt. And, since it's the same Hawk as the one in the comic pack, it's the only way to get him without getting a shitty Scarlett repaint. (Breaker only came with Destro, but at least it's a decent Destro repaint.)

Fucking Hasbro, making three of the original team exclusives.

I only have Beachhead, Rock 'n Roll, and Torpedo. This line is pretty cool, but I noticed they raised the prices. I'm trying to only buy the new versions of figures I had as a kid, which wasn't that many.

I'm going to have to go Negative Boy for a second on that "Senior Ranking Officers" set. Duke is an E-8 and Grunt is an E-6. Duke would be considered Senior Enlisted. Grunt is also enlisted, but E-6 isn't considered "senior". Hell, I turned down E-6 when I got out.

By the way, I was looking for pics of the SHARC and ended up finding pics of Doc and some figs of the next wave. http://toynewsi.com/gijoe/

Yeah, they cheated by putting Grunt in there. Bigtime. Plus, regardless of rank, "senior officers" should be Hawk, Duke, and FLINT.

Today at Target, I saw the AWE Striker, HISS, and that black repainted SHARC. Maybe I looked at the labels on the shelf wrong, but it looked like they are only $10. They were on an end cap near the front registers with the SW 2 packs and some Transformers.

Dude, if you see the SHARC again, can you pick me one up? I'll let you know if I find one first. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, that's the only way to get Grand Slam (and, thus, a complete original team).

And, yeah, they're $10. I didn't check the price on the online gossip, and was leaning toward not getting them. That is, until I saw the other two in the store. At $10, there was no question.

I'd gladly take one of those Hawk & Grunt sets from TRU if someone could find an extra. I don't think they'll come up here.

I've passed on tons of these - likely 50 percent. I'm only dabbling, and really don't want to get in the habit of working too hard to find stuff I'm missing.... all that being said, I'd still like you all to refer back to the first line of this post.

If I find more than one, consider it yours.

My folks visited over the weekend and brought a few boxes of old toys down. I have the ruins of a Killer WHALE Hovercraft and Cobra Moray Eel Hydrofoil in my room waiting for parts, if I choose to fix them up. I'm almost certain I'm going to fix the hovercraft. It just looks too darn cool!

The Whale is a SWEET toy, one of my childhood favorites for sure. Those depth charges rolling off the back were just wicked!!!

My brother had the Hydrofoil. There were a lot of pieces that could get lost from that thing.

Has anybody ever gotten replacement rubber bands for figures? Can you get them at Home Depot or Lowes?
