I got the X-men trilogy DVD set at Walmart today for $10. They also had the exact same movies for $7.50 each. I still haven't seen the third one, and only own the first one on VHS, so it was time to upgrade.

I'd put some time between 1-2 and 3. It might make 3 seem better.

I've heard that it's not great, but I figured that the other two alone were worth the price. I don't know when I'll get around to watching them but I'll post thoughts when I do.

On it's own X-Men 3 isn't that bad, but it suffers from a lot of the same problems Spider-man 3 had, where they tried to shove far too much into one movie. I think the 15 minutes of X-Men 3 are pretty strong, but it gets messy after that.
Also (and again like Spider-man), the movie second movie was so good it was damn near impossible for 3 to measure up.

To expand on what DB said, it also suffers pretty badly that the first two are comparatively intellectual movies, to be based on a comic, and stick pretty close to the feel of the book (if not the details), and #3 is a typical action movie and makes some pretty serious deviations tone-wise. Also, they threw out what Singer had obviously intended to be the origin of the Phoenix (when "something" enters Jean's mind in the first flick).

Found three volumes of the circa-2000 TMNT series (Season 1 Part 1, Season 2 Part 2, and Season 4) at Big Lots for $3 each. After finding those, I made a point to stop at three others I passed, but only saw these three, so my guess is they never got Seasons 2-3.

They also had a volume of TMNT: Fast Forward (the first, I think), but I never cared for that. As far as I'm concerned, the series ended prematurely and Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers never happened.

Lars and the Real Girl $4 @ Wal Mart
There Will Be Blood - $3 @ Wal Mart

Brick, Walk Hard (Theatrical) & Ray - $3 each @ Big Lots.

5 movies for $16.

Big Lots also had Slither for $3, which I'll probably go back for since I have a man0crush on Nathan Fillion.

Walk Hard for $3? Awesome! I haven't been to Big Lots in forever, so hopefully that means other stores will put it on clearance as well.

I got Jaws for $4.75 at Target last week, so that's something.

I know where I'm going tomorrow. I only got the first set for both shows, so if they've got any later seasons, I will definitely be getting them.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Not a fan of Pinky & the Brain, but I can't pass up Animaniacs for $6. Must track it down.

I know it was far superior when it actually was a segment of Animaniacs, but how can you guys like Animaniacs but not Pinky & The Brain?
