Supposedly Kmart has the bigass AT-AT unofficially on sale for $49.99 this week. Anybody heard about this?

My K-Mart didn't even have a spot for the AT-AT. So I couldn't even be tempted.
I do think it's very nice of Hasbro to release that lackluster ANH/ROTS wave of mostly repaints and slight resculpts at about the same time the classic Transformers will be coming out in massive numbers.

Checking out the details of the ROTJ figures I got.
Wicket. Nice figure. I had to pop his head off to get him to carry his pouch over his shoulder.
Endor Rebel. Also a decent figure. His trench coat fits him well. He has a holster for his pistol under his coat. He's bald under his helmet. The trench coat has a small hole in it to accommodate the backpack. Believe it or not, it actually lines up perfectly.
Gammorean Guard. Really nice figure except for that furry skirt thing. It just doesn't look right. Doesn't take much for him to lose his helmet.
Woof. The soft goods work really well. His helmet falls off rather easily, too, but its not a big deal.
All of them up stand up without a stand.

I found a Magnaguard at Target's sale. As it was the only one other than Grievous that wasn't a rehash I didn't want (Anakin and Obi-Wan), a new figure that I never found especially compelling (Palpatine), or a Clonetrooper (everyone else), I picked him up. They had two, and I really thought hard about getting the foil version just so I could open it and piss people off. But I decided the paint was better on the other one, and pissing off people I've never met isn't worth getting a figure with inferior paint.

I was just looking at the Hasbro Q&As. They mentioned that Target will have additional vintage styled 3-packs next year. I don't plan on getting the ESB 9-pack that is coming out unless it goes on clearance. Anyway, I don't remember ever seeing 3 packs back in the old days and had no idea how many 3-packs there were. There are a few I'd consider buying if they were updated, but not many.

I'd never seen those before. Pretty cool.
I do know the alien Bespin Guard is in one set. I wouldn't be shocked if a new figure or two make it into the sets. Maybe Dr. Evazan, Bom Vimdin, and Darth Vader!

They did say that they'd be following the line-ups from the vintage days, so Bom and Evazan won't be included. The alien Bespin guard was just following the template set by the old set and was the closest figure available.
Even though I wasn't around in the vintage days, I really do like the look of most of the packaging (both retro and updated), but these three-packs do nothing for me. They just looked thrown-together, and since I'm primarily an opener, I'll likely be passing on these sets unless they look fantastically amazing in person.

I've always LOVED that picture. Each of those three-packs is worth high hundreds and into the thousands.

I saw a lone Hoth AT-ST Target exclusive today for $28 and passed. All of the 9 packs must have sold already at that store.

I finally got the big AT-AT for Christmas and must say it's quite amazing. If you've got the space, I would definitely consider it, especially with all the clearances going on.
I did end up getting the nine-pack as well, as it was half off. I actually do like the way these sets look without the big ol' cardboard thing to hold them together, even if they're not the most interesting pieces from the vintage line.

There's another group of those three-packs, this time being sold individually. I post this here because of this set:

Which has the return of the (albeit outdated) Deuce, as well as the Hoth Rebel Trooper from the recent Defense of Hoth sets, meaning this might be a cheaper way to pick him up if any of you still wanted him.

Holy shit, JJL, you're awesome for finding that! I still need that Trooper (even on clearance, $28 was too much for him), and can always use another Deuce, even if it is more than ten years old at this point and about as outdated as Monkey-Faced Leia.

Gotta say, Hasbro's getting a bit insane with how specific the figures are. "Luke Skywalker: Dagobah Landing"? Hey, he doesn't have gloves! Is that really worth $7?
