Uhmmm...why the fuck is Silver Samurai 15 feet tall? And a robot?

Oh, it's because Fox wanted Iron Man in their X-Man movie because Iron Man makes all the box office cheddar...

they missed the mark as it sounds more like 'the destroyer' from thor, though.

I was wondering if he was going to mention the Dougray Scott thing.

Jackman should send a Thank You basket to John Woo and Tom Cruise.

Don't you kinda need to have a New Mutants movie before you have an X-Force movie? Where will Cable recruit from otherwise?

Saw The Wolverine yesterday. I liked most of it quite a bit. Much more of a personal story than a "Wolverine has to save the world again" story.

Also, this video was released today:

I saw it today. It was good, but not awesome. Logan is certainly a potty mouth in this one! I liked that the director was going for more of a character driven piece. I especially liked Fammke Jansen in the recurring dream sequences(what was billed as a cameo, is actually an integral performance in the film, she showed up like six times!). I think there were too many 'comic' characters in the film that distracted from the tone. As did the motivations of many of the characters. Yukio looks like a Grey Alien had sex with Christina Ricci and they had a Japanese baby. Whose head is shaped like that?! The train sequence was fairly awesome, but the action kinda slacked off after that. I was kinda hoping to see Wolverine slogging thru a metric ton of ninjas at the end and that didn't really happen.

The "twist" wasnt very twisty. Subverting peoples expectations of certain characters is one thing, but it was pretty obvious who the bad guy was gonna be. Not as disappointing as the Mandarin switcheroo though. The mid post credits sequence was the shit! I'm so stoked for DoFP now. But I then had to explain who these two guys were to my parents, who hadn't seen any other X-Men movies. I also had to explain Logan's body is full of metal because the film doesn't really explain that too well either. They understood the claws and the healing factor, but the Adamantium skeleton is glossed over.

Overall, I give it a 7/10. Better than X3 and Origins, but I liked X2 and First Class better.

^ agreed on all accounts.

it was fun, but i felt like it was really disjunctive and choppy, like they had a longer film and had to cut out a lot of scenes that would have made some of the other scenes make more sense.

also, i got to see it at the drive-in, which is always a double-feature. TURBO was up first, and it was a lot of fun.

Holy shit. I don't think a trailer has made me this emotional in awhile. I got goosebumps.

Thirty-nine seconds in. I'm sold. I don't care that the rest of the trailer looks like this is going to be the best damned X-Men movie ever, which is saying a fuck-ton given how good X2 was, but, holy shit. Pause it. Of course, you're all geeks, so you all probably shat yourself at that point already. You've read news tidbits that it would happen, but, shit, seeing that one shot makes it real. It's like the "'Lord Vader?' 'Yes, master.' 'Rise!'" bit from the original ROTS trailer (only hopefully not as big a letdown when the movie comes out).

I recognize Bishop, Warpath, and Blink, but is the fourth Quicksilver?
EDIT. It's Sunspot.
I'm..uh..I'm not sure what specifically is jizzworthy about Bobby DaCosta, but anarky is excited. I'd wager Newsbot is as well.

So, Bishop? That's pretty tits.

However, I feel like most of the "old" cast and the new recruits won't amount to much more than glorified cameos in the dystopian future. That seems to be the first act with most or all of them biting it before Logan heads back to the 70s where most of the movie takes place.

Good. I loved First Class.
