1. My wife and I are probably going to have to drive to Denver next month to take a bunch of stuff to my daughter before I can really convert that room into my home office. But, I already know the general layout. One stipulation from my wife is that there is some sort of bed in the room. I also have to get a new desk since the one I have won't fit. We found a desk and a sleeper sofa from Ikea that we will order as soon as there is space. There is a 8' tall bookshelf in there that is staying, and it will be the future home of random stuff from my collections.

2. I have not idea what I'm going to put on the walls other than the TV. I will probably avoid putting carded Star Wars figures up.

3. Just saw the "Nookie" video while watching MTV Classic. Does anyone else miss the days where the only asshole on TV wearing a red hat was Fred Durst?

When my wife and I go to Salvation Army, Goodwill, DAV, etc, I find old Shadowbox shelves for relatively cheap. If you alternate them with smaller posters, picture frames, and comics, they really clutter up the walls(in a good way)

But you can maximize displaying your stuff. They come in all shapes and sizes. Like my wife displaying her little colored glass bottle collection.

"No Tom Foolery today, Ron. I'm tired of looking at your dreadful, speckled mug."
"Why do you hurt me in this way, Harry?"

Some others. And since this is the ‘Random Thought’ topic and not the ‘How do you Display Your Stuff’ topic, here’s a Random Thought;

would Jenny have told Forrest he had a kid if she hadn’t contracted HIV and died?

We had a "Meet the Summer Interns" lunch today at work. There are 12 this summer.

1. One of them said his favorite books are Atlas Shrugged and 1984. I haven't read either, but I know the basic plot for each of them. I looked around the room when he said that, and no one else seemed to react much. Afterwards I was joking with the kid's boss about it. He said Atlas Shrugged was also turned into a movie. The only film adaptation that actually got made was a 3 film series from 2011-2014. They had a budget of $35M but only made $8.9M in the theater.

2. Each intern had to tell us about themselves. It made me feel old because I didn't know what half of them were talking about.

3. Also, if you lined my daughter's boyfriend with 3 of those interns, I'm not sure I could have told them apart. There must be some fashion trend that involves moppy hair and glasses.

Wow. Favorites?I’m no psychologist, but a dude who claims those as his faves while simultaneously taking an “internship” for a company that regularly takes public interest/socialist projects from cities deserves to be sat down and examined.
I think if he had it explained to him, he might walk into traffic.

My favorite books are Cien Años de Soledad, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and Sticker Fun with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
