Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
Not enough to get me excited, but nothing to make me say ‘uhhhgh’ either. It looks like the jumped up TV series that it is, and not a grand cinematic experience.
But I guess I trust Filoni and Favreau enough to give them the benefit. Is this a one and done, or are they planning multiple films?

Apparently, there's one more movie and at least one more season of Ahsoka. Possibly more, but that's all that's confirmed. Supposedly, the unnamed Filoni movie will be the climax of all these shows and movies set in the 5-7(+?) years after ROTJ range, and he's said he's putting as many existing characters as possible in it. Given Thrawn has returned, a lot of people expect it to be a sort of canon re-imagining of the HTTE trilogy.Tom Foolery wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 11:12 pmIs this a one and done, or are they planning multiple films?

Guilty as charged. I posted that in this thread in April 2023 and September 2022.anarky wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 8:16 amGiven Thrawn has returned, a lot of people expect it to be a sort of canon re-imagining of the HTTE trilogy.Tom Foolery wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 11:12 pmIs this a one and done, or are they planning multiple films?
And I still think Thrawn looks like a blue Elon Musk.

Star Wars is being re-released in theaters for the 50th anniversary. It comes out Feb 19, 2027. They say it is a newly restored version of the 1977 theatrical release. I'm excited, and I'd wager Newsbot is, too.

Mando & Grogu trailer dropped (to appease the "fans" who were bitching about the funny superb owl commercial)
Life is short. STUNT IT!

Complete with Martin Scorsese as a space monkey.

Shadow Lord dropped today.
Even if you hate the story (which was a solid hard-boiled crime drama, a first for SW onscreen), the animation is absolutely fucking gorgeous.
Also today marks the 30th anniversary of SOTE (at least the novel and CD parts). That soundtrack still kicks all the ass. I want Xizor on the big screen just to hear that bitching theme music in a theater.

The story begins shortly after the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which takes place a year earlier in 19 BBY.
