Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
Okay, your thoughts on this:
Mount Tantiss was reintroduced in canon at the end of The Bad Batch Season 1.
Grand Admiral Thrawn has returned from (presumably) the Unknown Regions, apparently unknown to the New Republic, and begun quietly reorganizing Imperial remnant factions.
It's five years after Return of the Jedi.
They just proved that de-aging has been perfected or damned close to it.
I think the shows are building toward a canon retelling of Heir to the Empire.

I want a post credits sequence introducing him & possibly showing Ezra as either in prison or weirdly somehow having switched allegiances. I am still more interested in his whereabouts & fate than I am anything else involving a clone Emperor.

The "so much like your father" line caught a bit off guard. I guess I was surprised she would open up about her entire situation to Luke, but maybe that would be expected.

I got the impression she already had.

Maybe, hopefully, we can see this first interaction as a flashback or something in her Disney+ series.anarky wrote:I got the impression she already had.

Finally watched the episode. Now I'm wondering what was in Ice Cream Maker Guy's container in Cloud City. I don't think Cobb Vanth is dead.
The CGI Luke was pretty good. There were a few shots that looked a little awkward, but he looked good in the rest. If anything, this episode made me more interested in what is going to happen in the Ahsoka series.

Apparently Luke's voice was completely digitally sliced together from a bunch of Mark Hamill audio from the era.
The only Luke thing that bugged me was we rarely saw his face when he spoke, as if they had trouble matching the dialogue with the CG mouth.

The Obi-wan show starts May 25th.
It takes place 10 years after RotS. What's the over/under on flashbacks per episode?

After Boba's pointless flashbactas, I really hope none.

They have to have flashbacks. How else are they going to shoehorn and Hayden Christensen into the show? I'd bet that Rosario Dawson also finds her way in because what's a Star Wars TV show without a crossover?

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
I don't think flashbacks. The old Last of the Jedi series proved Obi-Wan can convincingly pull off one great offworld adventure per universe.
The dialogue in ANH never says the two didn't meet at all after Mustafa. We just always assumed it.
Personally, I think Maul will show up, not Ahsoka. The timeline of Kenobi puts it between Solo and Rebels, so at some point something happens to make Maul deathly afraid of Vader and send him on a quest to destroy the Sith using their own ancient superweapon.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
Since they got Hayden Christensen, I figure there would be a flashback since they didn't get him for Rogue One.
I've been expecting them to some version of Heir to the Empire since Thrawn showed up in Rebels. I read the trilogy back in the 90s, but I realized that I don't remember much about them. Found the plot summary on Wookipedia.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
The line ‘You should not have come back.’ for me has always inferred exactly the opposite. I’ve always thought Obi-Wan had somehow had an altercation with proper Vader after he’d become more man than machine, twisted and evil and Vader “won” but he let Ben go because he felt he ‘owed’ him for training him and their history, but with the promise he’d climb back under whatever rock he’d been hiding and never come back. Vader gave him a freebie.anarky wrote:The dialogue in ANH never says the two didn't meet at all after Mustafa. We just always assumed it.
