16 books from last week. Not this week last week, but last week last week. Because once again, I'm behind. Surprisingly, there's only 2 CW2 tie ins, including the main book.

Amazing Spidey 18. Otto has been trapped in the Robot since he "died". This issue, he makes his move.

Ant-Man 12. The Trial of Scott Lang begins. SheHulk is his attorney, but the prosecutor turns out to be his ex-Friend with Benefits, aka the villainess known as the Beetle. Awkward.

Atomic Robo:Temple of Od 2. Robo rescues a Chinese scientist from the Japanese in the 1930s.

Batman 7. The beginning of a new arc that is not written by King, nor drawn by Finch. Soooo...everybody is really broken up about Tim's death. And by broken up, I mean there's maybe a panel or two of dialogue about it.

Carnage 12. The situation on the island ramps up. This book has become surprisingly good. I mean not surprisingly, because it's Gerry Conway and Mike Perkins. But a book about Carnage is damn intense.

Civil War II 5. A huge battle between the two teams ends when everybody gets a vision of Miles standing over a dead Capt America and Capt Marvel places him under arrest. Without context or any actual crime having taken place. Like maybe Rogers went evil and Miles stopped him and saved the world. The more this goes on, Team Tony is clearly the correct side.

Deadpool v Gambit 5. Final Issue. Didn't read it yet, but the other four issues were hilarious.

GIJoe ARAH 232. As always, Hama is juggling about ten ongoing subplots and really crams his books, so recapping it would be like seven paragraphs.

Punisher 5. Frank has to team up with the DEA agent chasing him to survive an asylum full of roided up inmates.

Revolution 1. The Hasbroverse commences. The Joes decide the Transformers are public enemy number one. And Rom shows up and kills...HOLY SHIT!!

Thor 11. In order to protect Thor's secret ID, Mjolnir transforms itself into Jane Foster so they can be in the same place at the same time. YeahbuhWHA?? Also, Thos stops Roxxon island from crushing NYC. kewl.

Transformers TAAO 4. Revolution continues. As does Titans Return. Having two events in the same issue is pushing it, I feel.

Vision 11. Using the dialogue from Vision's very first appearance is haunting. And Vision is so fucking badass. "I would greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter. However, I do not REQUIRE your cooperation in this matter." And the on he proceeds to whup the entirety of the Avengers' asses.

Wolverine 12. CW2 tie in. Laura rightly points out that the prediction of Old Man Logan killing Gabby came true BECAUSE Capt America and SHIELD showed up and exacerbated the problem. She then tells SHIELD off is the direction in which they should fuk.

ExtraX-Men Annual 4. ha! Just kidding, it's really Annual 1. The X-Men break two X-Men villains out of prison before the Terrigen cloud passes thru and kills them. In a back up story Forge teams up with Moon Girl.

Uncanny X-Men 13. Exodus is back. Other stuff happened in the issue, but since most X-Men books these days are totally forgettable, I don't remember what happened.

And from this week, 20 more books. Seven CW2 tie ins. Three Final Issues. And one heartbreaking death*.

New Avengers 16. CW2 tie in. After his WHISPER Revengers get their butts kicked by the AIMvengers, Maker changes tactics and kidnaps the President off of AirForce1. And John Garret shoots Sunspot between the eyes.

Sam Wilson 13. CW2 tie in. Sam fights USAgent over the shield to give it back to Steve, but Sam says until Steve specifically asks for it back, he's keeping it. At the end of the issue we learn, it was Steve who asked Walker to get the shield back, but he doesn't want to ruffle feathers. Asshole.

Steve Rogers 5. CW2 tie in. We learn that Steve, Douchebag of Hydra has been manipulating shit behind the scenes, like anonymously sending Banner a flash drive full of research on Gamma radiation, which of course ended with him getting shot. Asshole.

Civil War 2:Kingpin 3. So, the Scourge on Kingpin's team turns out to be Frank Castle in disguise, leading to a fucking brutal badass fight between the two.

Deadpool 19. The saga of Deadpool 2099 continues as Warda threatens to kill thousands at a concert unless Wade and Ellie produce her mother Shiklah. Wade enlists the aid of the new Ancient One...Danny Rand.

Deadpool Annual 1. Wait, hasn't there already been a Deadpool Annual 1 in this run?? Whatever. This is the unaired pilot episode of Deadpool and His Amazing Friends done in the hilarious style of the old 80s cartoon. Peter goes missing and DP, Iceman, and Firestar brutally murder the Sinister Six in revenge. Fucking hilarious.

Deathstroke 3. Someone is trying to kill Rose, and Slade is less than impressed with her dedication to her studies as a master assassin.

Dr Strange Annual 1. Oh for fucks sake, enough with the Annuals Marvel. Strange accidentally hires a demon to do contract repair on the Sanctum and has to use the magic in his magical annulment to Clea to stop him, thereby negating the annulment.

Hulk 10. CW2 tie in. I think I might've skipped an issue. Black Panther has some kind of BP Hulkbuster suit and is trying to take down Amadeus, who's still raw about Banner getting wacked.

Moon Girl Devil Dinosaur 11. Moon Girl's powers activate while she's trying to impress her hero idol, Ms. Marvel. And Marvin reveals he's actually her nemesis, Kid Kree. And that he's in love with her.

Ms Marvel 11. CW2 tie in. Kamala realizes Capt. Marvel's side is the wrong side and joins Team Tony. Heartbreaking.

Nova 11. Final Issue. Nova finally meets the Worldmind/Rich Rider and it explains the Nova Corps and the source of his helmet's power. So he decides to continue being a Nova. Epilogue: Rich Rider returns home.

Saga 38. This is like the Game of Thrones of comics. No character is safe. Except maybe Lying Cat, since he's become like a cottage industry with t-shirts and statues and plush dolls and shit. But somebody dies this issue.

Spidey/Deadpool 9. Spidey and DP face off against Itsy-Bitsy, the genetic mashup of both their DNAs.

Squirrel Girl 12. While Doreen, Nancy, and Doreen's mom take a vacation up in Canada(without Internet!) Brain Drain attempt to be a hero.

Star Wars 23. Han and Leia race each other to see who gets to be Captain of their captured Star Destroyer, and then that elite Stormtrooper squad that was showcased a couple issues back shows up.

Transformers MTMTE 57. FINAL ISSUE. Roberts manages to tie up every single dangling plot thread from the last five years in a scant twenty pages. Fucking brilliant!!! No, I'm just kidding, the book is getting renamed Lost Light and will be back in December, where the wacky hijinks and the feels will continue.

Ultimates 11. CW2 tie in. The Ultimates fight Thanos.

Web Warriors 11. Final Issue. Eh, I have no idea what's going on, I just have an OCD for buying final issues.

ExtraX-Men 14. Bobby and Kurt try to find Piotr who's been 'apocalypsed' into a Horseman. Storm and Magik look for Magik's apprentice who's broken bad in Limbo. Forge duct tapes Apocalype's mouth shut to stop his goddamn monologuing.

*The fact the character was already technically dead, makes it no less heartbreaking. Which is probably a spoiler, but fuck you. If you aren't already reading Saga the day it comes out, you deserve to be spoiled. Goddamn trade waiters.

13 books this week. Four First Issues, Two Final Issues, and only one CW2 tie in.

Amazing Spidey 19. A heartbreaking issue as Jay loses his battle with cancer, and he could've been saved if they'd used Jackal's NewU technology. Jonah naturally blames Peter.

Batman 8. Part of a crossover I'm not reading, written by a standin writer, with a standin artist. Ugh.

Champions 1. First Issue! All the younger Avenger heroes have quit the team in the fallout of Civil War II(which we won't read about for like another three months. Way to coordinate, Marvel) and form their own superhero team.

DP Mercs4$ 4. DP goes to rescue Negasonic Teenage Warhead(henceforth NTW) with the help of the new Mercs team led by Domino.

Deadpool Back In Black 1. Sort of a quasi sequel to DPs Secret Secret War. Set in "the 80s" after Peter got rid of the symbiote in the church tower, but before it found Eddie, it hooked up with Wade. This is that story.

Dr Strange 12. Now that magic is broken, the villains like Mordo, Dormammu, and Nightmare are coming out of the woodwork. And Strange has basically a dustpan of magic leftovers to fight them with.

Iron Man 14. Final Issue. CW2 tie in. Tony's been having a rough time of it, so he goes to an AA meeting. Carol is at the same meeting, and they have a talk on a bench about everything. Very moving.

Jessica Jones 1. First Issue. Holy crap, it's like reading a long lost issue of Alias. So cool. So, Jessica and Cage have split, the whereabouts of the baby is in question, and Jess refers to Dr Strange as pornstache. Win.

Revolution 2. Optimus apprehends ROM for the killing of...someone...last issue. And Scarlet calls in Miles Mayhem and his MASK team to attack Kup. Then Karza shows up on the last page. Things be getting crazay up in the Hasbroverse y'all!

Transformers 57. Final Issue. Optimus and Soundwave put the smack down on Sentinel Prime.

Wolverine 13. Enemy of the State II begins. Laura and Gabby go on vacation and somebody drops trigger scent on an entire small town, which now has a population of zero thanks to Laura. If you get my meaning.

Uncanny X-Men 14. Magneto and Exodus go head to head to stop a bunch of brainwashed mutants from attacking an anti mutant rally. And Psylocke has had enough of Magneto's bullshit and quits the team.

Death of X 1. First Issue. At last, the story of what happened between Cyclops and the Inhumans. The Terrigen cloud passes over Muir Island and kills Jamie Madrox and others. Cyclops blames the Inhumans.

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Vol. 16

Fuck. As has happened every other time the quality of the book has ebbed, Hama has come back with a vengeance.

Biggles-Jones is back? Snake Eyes I is a teenaged girl? The Red Ninjas have come for Jinx? Duke's wife is a terrorist?

The only bad thing about this title is waiting for the next issue.

The latest volumes of Transformers and More Than Meets the Eye (collecting "All Hail Optimus" and "The Dying of the Light").

Fuck you, James Roberts. Fuck you hard. You know why. You fucking jaguar-hating bastard.

But fuck you with an army of gorgeous supermodels with doctorate degrees in fellatio, because this book is still the best fucking book out there.

Seriously, I actually expected more bodies (not counting the obvious "you're going down, DJD!"), but the four characters who did die were all shockers.

And the glitch caught me off guard like a roller pin to the head, tarn it.

Just in time for this week's books comes...last week's books.
4 First Issues, Two Final Issues, and one sorta CW2 tie in.

Atomic Robo The Temple of Od 3. Robo fighting robots in 1930s Japan. Always awesome.

Uncanny Avengers 15. CW2 Aftermath issue(even though there's three issues left of the main book and it won't be done until December). The Hand wants to resurrect Banners body and make Hulk a mindless, unstoppable assassin. The Unity Squad heads to Japan to stop them.

Great Lakes Avengers 1. First Issue. Flatman ends up with the rights to the Avengers TM and in exchange for giving it back, he's allowed to have his own team in perpetuity. They set up shop in an abandoned Stark factory in Detroit.

Daredevil 12. Matt goes to the Inhumans to ask for help with his serial killer case, but ends up having to fight them. Because politics or something.

Deadpool 20. DP talks a suicide out of jumping, then takes her to see Hamilton.

Deathstroke 4. Someone in Gotham spent a lot of money to have Rose assassinated. Slade only knows one rich guy in Gotham, so obviously it must've been Batman.

Gwenpool 7. Gwen meets the mysterious benefactor who's been bankrolling MODOK.

Howard the Duck 11. Final *sniffle*'Issue. I'm gonna miss that goofy duck. Wait, what's that? He's already back in a mini with Deadpool this week?

Mosaic 1. First Issue. A basketball superstar (think Marvel's version of Lebron.) is doused in the Terrigen cloud and becomes an energy phantom that possesses other people and retains their knowledge and skills for a short time after.

Old Man Logan 12. Some kid in a cult sees the future where Logan kills him or something. Bleh.

Punisher 6. Mostly a flashback to when Frank was on a mission that went tits up in the Middle East. Because retconned Frank never served in Vietnam.

Revolution 3. Now the Micronauts are involved. Trying to tie all these franchises together is becoming a bit hokey.

Solo 1. First Issue. The series nobody demanded! Fresh off his kinda supporting role in a Deadpool spinoff book, Solo gets back to his war on terror, as an independent contractor for SHIELD with plausible deniability.

Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy 1. First issue of the new Spidey Event. Why does it have two names? Jackal brought Gwen Stacy back to life. Cue the fanboy outrage. And Otto is back. You'd think he would've asked for a not soggy body.

Darth Vader 25. Final Issue. Vader kills all his enemies. Seriously. It's like every three pages, a major character gets offed by the Sith Lord.

Han Solo 4. Solo has a secret rebel mission to save informants, but he also wants to win the race. What's a smuggler to do?
