Are they struggling to find retailers that want exclusives?
Walgreens gets a Black Series Prototype Boba Fett.

It's a lovely exclusive. I have no idea how Walgreen's rated that one.

Told my wife that Walgreen's was getting a Star Wars exclusive figure. Her response? "That's dumb."

But, after thinking about it, a few of the hard to find GI Joe waves showed up at Walgreen's.

Are they even trying anymore, or do they get a kick out of watching us complain?
At least it's an SDCC exclusive. Anything other than that and it'd rot for a million years.

They're also getting a formerly-cancelled 6" Marvel Venom figure and a Funko Game of Thrones Tyrion Lannister figure in his hand of the king garb. It's a strange move, but after six months with essentially no new releases other than one 6" wave, I'll take what I can get.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Spoilers! Asshole!! :P

Ram's right about a lot of Joes being unofficial Walgreen's exclusives. They also had the US release of the Transformers Heroes of Cybertron PVC figures about 15 years back.

I've been looking for "just found" reports of the Luke Dagobah/Yoda et al wave and haven't found any - are those just hitting California or have they been found anywhere else? No sightings in Canada yet.

They're hitting?

Shit. I guess I can't ignore the toy aisle anymore. It was fun for the few days it lasted.

Have they even been found in California? From what I've seen, the only people who have them are those who ordered online.

That was from Yakface or one of the other sites. I assumed it was an early leak from Hong Kong via eBay. :)

OOOOOOoohhh. Ok. Now I'm not worried about about Canada being behind yet again. Thanks for the clarification. :bats:

EDITED: What's the consensus on the updated 5POA figures down there? I haven't touched them, but there are some (ie about 2) supporters of them posting on the Canadian site.

They're ass. Sculpts look decent, but 5 POA for almost the price of a real figure is unacceptable. Plus tons of these that store employees can't tell from TBS makes those tougher to find.

I'm inclined to agree based on the few that I've seen - I'd be more tempted at a $5.99 price point kinda thing. Just wondered if I was missing something and they were getting strong vocal support that was catching on up north - kinda relieved that's not the case to be honest.

The Saga Legends single-carded figures are $5.99, and the two-pack Mission Series are $9.99. Single-carded Black Series are also $9.99. All three are on different SKUs so one shouldn't affect the other at all, and it hasn't been an issue in my area – not that there's been any TBS this year anyway. TVC and TBS being on the same DPCI at Target has affected things, but TVC seems to be mostly gone by now.

Anyway, I have most of these figures. Some of them are neat for what they are, but by and large they're nothing really special. The new Bespin Luke and Grievous are pretty cool. My favorite set is probably R2 and 3PO. The only figures unique to this line are the Seeker Droid and TCW Darth Maul (well, the TCW phase II Obi-Wan was done in animated but not realistic), and everything else has been done multiple times before, so character-wise you're not missing out (though it seems that there will be some unmade TCW characters released in this line, along with everything from Rebels).

There are four of them (Jedi Luke, Snowtrooper, Maul, TCW phase I Obi-Wan) that have only shown up in Canada and Europe so far. Hopefully they'll still be released in the States eventually – I'll ask Hasbro about this at SDCC – but if not I'll be calling in a favor up north.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

They have been interfering a bit here--granted, it's probably in part to TBS having shit assortments that pegwarm forever, and the 5POA's selling more quickly and getting replenished in both slots.

$5.99 is a bit steep for a 5POA figure in my book. Yeah, the TBS have gone way the hell up to the point where I doubt there are any completists clamoring over "Not Quite There" Luke #275, but, still, that's high for what's basically a Dollar General figure.
