And some planned exclusives that never actually went to the intended store (particularly with planned G.I. Joe Target exclusives, but probably other stuff as well).

Just used $31 in amazon gift cards to order the Weequay, Lumat, and Sandtrooper. Not that I really needed another Sandtrooper, but I tried the ones I have and none of them fit on the new Dewback.

We went to Fry's Electronics today. They have a small toy section with your basic Hasbro and Mattel toys. There were 2 pegs with the "Vintage" style cards. Surprisingly, they were only $10. I flipped through them real quick not expecting to find anything. Sure enough they had the Imperial Navy Commander. I'm leaving it on the card for now because I have a soft spot for the early figures I had from the 77-78 Star Wars line.

Sandstorm.
Of course, with Springer and Sandstorm being updated awesomely for the 30th anniversary line, and a new Swerve and Hoist on the way, I fully expect new a Lazerbeak, Cliffjumper, Wheelie, Wildrider, G2 Megatron, Hotspot, and Motormaster soon (since they seem to be updating the entire GDO subline). I want the damn "Prime Bulkhead redecoed as Brawn" that never got released.

Re: So, what toys did you buy or get this week?
Since last update, I've gotten Orion Pax, Trailbreaker, and a few more clearance Flint bikes ($2.50 is impossible to beat, even with its flaws). Also the FOC Rumble/Ravage set on clearance (which was the only one they had--okay, they had the Prime and Bumblebee from later waves of the scale class, but I really, really wanted Rewind so I could reenact his final scene from MTMTE and cry like a baby over and over). And most recently the Orko/Adam 2-pack.
Gotta say, I'm really kinda disappointed in the Orko pack. It's good. Don't get me wrong. It's just not great by any stretch of the imagination. Orko himself is tough to beat aside from some poor paint applications and a stand that doesn't balance well, but Adam, who I'm guessing is more representative of the entire line, has ankles that are so loose he can barely stand, hands that are so tight it takes an act of Congress to get his sword into one of them, and horrible-looking gappy joints. The sculpt itself is quite solid aside from the joints, with the only true flaw being the slavish adherence to the shitty 1980s design, including the mega-ripped look of the original figure (which made Clark Kent/Superman look downright credible because at least that fucker put on glasses). I'm just not seeing what's "premium" about him. The articulation pales in comparison, in terms of both number of points and their application, to G.I. Joe figures that are half the size and price. And, aside from the points of articulation, the 2002 figures beat the ever-loving shit out of these. For $5 a figure, it's not bad, but I'd shit bricks if I'd paid $20 for this set.
Still, it is the motherfucking Orko and his fabulous friend!

You all need the newest Megatron (the one who turns into a stealth bomber and comes with a comic).
Finally, a modern-era figure of the character that looks like it could decimate worlds.

Finally found orange DG Storm Shadow and blue DG Cobra Trooper Officer (he has the chevron on his helmet, so I'm going with Officer) today. And unexpectedly found Generations Hoist. (Also saw and passed on Thundercracker, DG Shipwreck II, DG Cobra Commander II, and DG Duke II.)

Just ordered Kwinn and Vizam from the Hasbro site. The code FRIDAY10 gives you 10% off plus free shipping.
They were out of the Jinx movie figure.

I wanted to take advantage of the code, but they're sold out of everything I want.

Re: So, what toys did you buy or get this week?
Hasbro is apparently shipping the two figures separately. Kwinn is on his way, but Vizam won't ship for a couple more weeks.
Hisstank had a couple links on it for other black friday online sales. A few place are selling figures from the first wave of the 3.75" Black series for $5. One of them had some GI Joes for cheap, including Kwinn for $5 and the Alley Viper for $7 or $8.
Dollar General has Buy 1 get one 75% off. Stopped by the one near my house only because the parking lot almost empty. Grabbed a black and a blue Cobra troopers for $8.

Re: So, what toys did you buy or get this week?
Much to my surprise, Kwinn and Vizam arrived today. I wasn't expecting them because one tracking number they gave me didn't work, and the other one hadn't been updated since last week when it said they received notification that the package existed.

Re: So, what toys did you buy or get this week?
I ordered the two BBTS exclusives (Dreadnoks and Slaughter's Marauders) along with the five new figures from Retaliation Wave 2 (Flint, Firefly, Battle Kata Roadblock, Ninja Showdown Snake Eyes, and Something Or Other Storm Shadow), all on clearance during their Black Friday sale. They arrived yesterday. About $5.25 per figure after tax and shipping, not bad.
I also ordered the Surf's Up Batman yesterday from Amazon, from the line based on the old show, for $4.99. Was going to add the Droid Factory set for $14.99 (and get rid of everything but Dooku's pilot and the protocol droid), but it was gone before I finished the order. Probably for the best--cool or not, they're background prequel guys.

Re: So, what toys did you buy or get this week?
I picked up a Funko Game of Thrones Legacy Collection Daenaerys, but her left arm immediately broke off at the elbow and the pin won't fit back into her joint. Her feet are switched, and she often pops apart at the middle. Sounds like there's lots of QC issues with this line due to the cheap-ass transparent plastic they used for the joints, but they're aware of it so hopefully wave 2 will be better as they looked cool as fuck at Toy Fair.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Wow, this thread sure went dormant, eh?
I recently got TF 30th Doubledealer. Haven't opened him, but the Blitzwing sculpt (with the only difference being the head) does the character far more justice than I expected. I only with they had given him new weapons, as they often do with retools.
Ordered the IDW tie-in Starscream, Scoop, andMini-Cons Ammonites, but haven't received them.
Also got the TF Constructobots Prime vs Megatron set yesterday. It was on clearance for $8, which seemed like a decent price, even if sucks and only turns out to be a one-time project for the kids.

I really haven't bought anything lately. But, we're going to the World of Toys Expo tomorrow. It was only $5, so we're taking the kids too. Not much in the way of celebrities. I'm hoping there are some decent vendors.anarky wrote:Wow, this thread sure went dormant, eh?
