movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

Nothing really. But Tower Heist doesn't deserve it's own Thread Topic. And it doesnt really fit in the 'pathetic remakes of shit topic' (although you could make a case for it being a poor man's Ocean's 11) And this topic hasn't been used for its own movie for like half a decade, so I'm sure G.Lu won't mind doubling up.
Anyway, that entire cast is enough for me to skip it.
The only one I can't stand is Stiller. Movies are funny despite him, not because of him.

Saw Red Tails tonight.
Decent flick with some moments of pretty bad acting and/or dialogue (for example: "Die you foolish African!"). The script could've used another pass, as many of the character's side-plots could have been cut.
Great effects...obviously from ILM and Lucas' hard on for WWII dog fight footage and the Geonosis shaky cam effect here and there.

I think you may be mistaken. "Die you foolish African" sounds like it should be in the top ten best movie lines ever. It's no "Say Jim that is a bad outfit, Whoooooo!" but knowing nothing else about a film, if it had that line, I'd give it a shot.
Speaking of George, he was on CBS Morning talking to Charlie Rose. They were talking about how he sold Pixar for $10Mil and now it's worth Billions, and he literally said "I'm not that worried about it. What am I gonna do with Another $7 Billion?"
What a toolbag.

I saw it yesterday and liked it quite a bit. Some of the non-combat stuff dragged on a bit, and yes, it was quite cheesy in places, but I guess that was what they were going for to make it like a '40s war movie. So, not the best movie of all time, but still quite enjoyable.
