Renegades Scarlett
Renegades Tunnel Rat
Renegades Cobra Trooper
Renegades Law & Order
Techno-Viper
SCI-FI
Airtight
Renegades Ripcord
I'm planning on getting Law & Order, Techno Viper, Sci-Fi, and Airtight. Cobra Trooper looks cool, but doesn't really fit anywhere other than with other Renegades figures.
Smart to put Airtight and Law & Order on Renegades cards, I suppose. Oh, wait. They killed Renegades after wasting a whole year with no toys.
Renegades Ripcord and Scarlett look surprisingly good. Disappointing that there's no Bio-Viper, or that Ripcord doesn't have Bio-Viper parts to snap on (not like there's danger of spoilers when the show ended months ago). I think I might get all of these fellows. Still haven't been able to pull the trigger on Duke or Snake Eyes; they're just bad kitbashes.
I think the Renegades Cobra Trooper would make a fine Cobra Security Guard or Cobra Technician. Some fellow in a role where he needs a uniform and some weapons training, but not necessarily a bandana across his lower face. Maybe he's the tech who will "graduate" to being a Techno-Viper or Tele-Viper someday.

2) Marketing stratagy wise why weren't the Renegads figures released during the cartoon run?
A)The Renegades animated series was developed faster than the toys could be developed so they didn't match up in regards to the airing of the show and the availability of the figures. We're really happy with the way both turned out and hope you enjoy the great assortment of G.I. Joe Renegades figures we've introduced.
In TRU I always see these generic military brand toys called Real Heroes. The figures suck balls, but some of the vehicles look pretty decent to work with GIJoe. There's a black Apache Chopper, an F-22 Raptor, and a fairly big transport plane reminiscent of a C-130(although shorter and smaller obviously). They(or a similar line) also had a BlackHawk coptor awhile ago.
You guys ever considered adding them to your Joe arsenal?

They're also sold at Big Lots under a different name. Big Lots is cheaper, and gets better environment sets. They have a few kick-ass bombed-out city scenes every Christmas.
I got a set with a shit figure, some accessories, and a German Shepherd. Why? Because Law & Order used the same fucking dog from 1987 (?) with no detailing, and this dog looked as awesome as the figure looked like a bucket of ass.

Last year TRU had a nice looking Blackhawk helicoptor, similar to the Apache.
I believe the Big Lots version is Power Team Elite. I have a Humvee. Works perfectly for GI Joes. There are other vehicles that look pretty good and some that look like junk. The figures are crap, but their accessories and weapons are nice. The tank look like a nice alternative to the GI Joe version. There is an Armored personnel carrier, but it doesn't look like it fits more than 1 or 2 figures. The jeeps, dune buggy, and motorcycles look like garbage.
Power Team Elite has a bombed out building playset. It is ok as-is, but someone on Hisstank customized it. The new paint job and added a few other details did wonders for it.
Yeah, some of the vehicles are ass. There's a boat that sucks donkey balls. I don't collect Joes, but when I'm walking down the aisle, I'm like 'why doesn't Hasbro make vehicles this nice?".
I was just wondering what the catch was.

Right. I think the catch is you're buying a nice vehicle and some decent scenery pieces and nice weapons with junk figures that may or may not contain lead paint.
They have a warning on the packaging that they do contain lead paint.
Don't let the kids suck on them. I think for adult display, they're probably okay.
BTW, if you can still find it, the Prince of Persia figures had the best Joe-scaled horse I've seen. The one from the Real Heroes/Power Team Elite looks like super-ass, which is interesting since their doggie beats the Joe one (not counting the new Order from the upcoming Renegades figure) and most of their vehicles look good.

Tuesday Morning stores had the Prince of Persia stuff for a while. Not sure if it is still around. Wasn't planning on adding any horses to my collection. Last year I bought one Prince of Persia figure (my idea was that he would go in Jabba's palace), and the gate "playset". There foot pegs on the vertical surface that work well with the POC Desert Stormshadow. You know, because he's a ninja and can clime walls and stuff.
