Ben Reilly did rule, and was a great concept. However, the mess that was made of that storyline did not rule.

All I had this week was Punisher Max #75.

But I got an email today from deepdiscount - The Walking Dead is Buy 1 Get 1 Free until October 31. I can finally get going again and pick up trades 2 - 9 for only $48!

I just got to scrape up the cash...

Punisher Noir #3 from last week.
Star Wars Legacy #41
The Boys #1 ($1 reprint)
Gotham City Sirens #5
Punisher #10
Punisher - Dark Reign - The List

Even though I knew what was gonna happen to Frank in The List, it was still pretty surreal and shocking to actually see it happen. The only thing that really kind of pissed me off was the 'tard who did the deed.

Punishermax #1 - my LCS got shorted his entire order of this issue last week.

Punisher #11 - Frankencastle part 1. I haven't read much with Morbius, but that ain't what I remember him looking like.

Dr. Horrible One-Shot - Love the video, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

This is jumping way, way back to a discussion from last year, but I saw the trailer (or clip, or whatever) for Kick-Ass, where Nick Cage (who I guess is a vigilante--I don't know much about it) is training his daughter to not flinch when shot, and she's bargaining with him to take her for ice cream and bowling if he shoots her again. It was fucking bizarre and hilarious. I might actually have to check this out after all. Amazon has it for pre-order (WTF?) with no date listed. Has this actually been released in paperback (since the back issues look hella expensive)?

Even B&N has the hardcover (which Amazon didn't have listed at all) for pre-order, shipping in March. With an obvious demand for back issues and a movie coming out, has this series really never been collected?

They've only released 7 issues so far.
Issue 8 is the last (of this first arc anyway).

Sweet Jesus, I can't believe what I'm about to say...
I'm actually looking forward to a Nicolas Cage movie.
But not because of him; because of the property.

Cage plays Big Daddy, part of a murderous father-daughter vigilante team.

But yeah, that scene was awesome and it was straight from issue #6. I hope the rest is as faithfully adapted. With the exception of some of the costumes, it appears to be - Big Daddy's movie costume is pretty much a rip-off/joke of a Batman costume.
And if it is that faithful, this movie is going to piss off a lot of people. The little girl in that clip is incredibly fucking brutal in the book.
