Re: Cheap DVD buys
Pinky and the Brain was ok when it was a short segment. It got redunant and kind of boring by itself.
I don't think my kids have ever seen an episode of Animaniacs. They might know who they are. When my wife and I were still dating, I won her Yakko, Wakko, and Dot stuffed animals at a carnival or something. Last I checked, those dolls are in my daugter's room on a shelf.

Re: Cheap DVD buys
Found me Animaniacs 2 and Pinky & The Brain 2.
Got a couple of Superfriends DVDs for Junior (she loves Batman, and this silly show is more appropriate for a little kid than Justice League Unlimited). Superfriends Season 2 & Superfriends: The Legendary Super Power Show (Complete Series). Not that I'm asking you to get it, but can you let me know if you see Season 1 of the plain old Superfriends show?

If you can't find it, let me know. I've seen a bazillion around here. No Vol 1's, though (but I got it for Christmas a few years back).

Re: Cheap DVD buys
Found Thundercats: Season 2, Vol 2 for $6 today. Funny that this (six discs) was the same price as some 2-packs of portions of Season 1 I found yesterday. I wouldn't mind having the other three six-disc sets if anyone comes across them, and shipping would still be a shitload cheaper than buying them anywhere else.

Animaniacs Volumes 1-3 on Amazon: $20.99 each.
Fuck, $6 feels like stealing.

Re: Cheap DVD buys
I've not seen any #3's at any Big Lots I've been to (four in the past few days).
If anybody finds Animaniacs #3, Superfriends #1, or any of the other Thundercats 6-disc sets (not the two-disc sets that were taken from those and sold separately), I'd be most pleased if they could grab one for me.

Re: Cheap DVD buys
I'm apparently a moron. I went to put these up, and my wife got me Animaniacs 1-2 for XMas two years ago, not Animaniacs 1 and P&TB 1 as I'd thought. Not sure how I mixed those up. Looks like an exchange is in the cards, if any P&TB 1's are left.

Re: Cheap DVD buys
One Best Buy--and only one--had some cartoons for $3. I got Flintstones Season 3, two copies of The Complete Popeye Vol 1 (one for my brother), and Superman: The Animated Series Vol 1 (for my nephew). They had more Flintstones, but I already had 1-2, and the only thing they had beyond Season 3 was one opened copy of Season 5. I thought after I left, "I should've made sure the discs were there and gotten it anyway."
I've looked elsewhere and seen nothing. Dunno if this is something new and they put it out early, or if it's stuff that's been sitting there forever. I lean toward the first, since they were out of most of the $6 TV series.

Re: Cheap DVD buys
My wife went to both Big Lots near our house with no luck finding Animaniacs or Superfriends. I checked a Big Lots near my work. All they had were seasons 5 & 6 of the Dukes of Hazard. One of them was the season Bo & Luke were "replaced".
The only other TV season they had was Joey. Double-

D'oh! You're right, Big Lots. I suppose that was a slip of the tongue--er, keyboard.

More $3 season sets. I got 3-4 and 5-6 of The Adventures of Superman (I think completes my set, but have to check), a couple of Tales from the Crypt, The Batman vs Dracula (A Jr picked that one), and Jonny Quest.

Re: Cheap DVD buys
Two more Tales from the Crypt (got more than half the run of the show for $12!), the second season of Superman (which wasn't combined with the first on the DVD set, so this completes the collection), and the Superman Serials Collection. I'm wondering if the Batman Serials Collection might be in a Big Lots somewhere.
Also got Mother Night, which I've always wanted to see, despite hearing it's not especially faithful to the book.
