Well, it is movie Megatron. Maybe they didn't want anyone to get sick on the plane?

On a serious note, however, this may be the dumbest abuse of power I've ever heard of. I've flown many times with a Grimlock t-shirt on. No one ever told me that he was scary, or represented a view of evolution that may offend some ultra-conservatives, or that the word "butt" was offensive to the pilot.

good thing he didn't have a shirt with the goddamn Death Star on it or he would have been shot to death on the spot

Me and Lord Open (who sent me this link) laughed pretty hard about this- we thought that making a shirt with a huge box-cutter on it would be fuckin wrong funny (NO offense meant in any way but seriously if you can supposedly make 200 people stand down and DIE with 2$ worth of dollar-store box-cutters who the fuck needs guns)

An article about a guy with a boxcutta shirt getting denied at the airport would pretty much sum up the stupidity that is our modern world

You know, when I was leaving Guyana, there was a large board with a list of prohibited items. Among them was "transforming toy guns". We got a laugh that Megatron was banned from flying. But I suppose it made sense because it would look like a gun going through the x-ray machine. Now banning a t-shirt is just stupid.

I always found that kinda amusing, too. You know it refers specifically to Megatron, but they can't actually call him Megatron.

It's Optimus Prime on the t-shirt. :yeaha: :P

This whole fiasco has tempted me to wear a t-shirt with a bob-omb from "Super Mario Bros." on it the next time I'm on an airplane.
Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun.
