I doubt that "Harry Potter and the Unexciting Exposition" will come in first. I really wonder how they're going to deal with all the Voldemort-childhood flashbacks.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

It has a strong chance, considering the fact that people who haven't read the book will go to seeSenor JabbaJohnL wrote:I doubt that "Harry Potter and the Unexciting Exposition" will come in first.

Re: 2008
Dude, that'll make, like, fifty bucks. The first one didn't even break even at the box office. General audiences (not including comic fans or Guillermo del Toro groupies) don't give a shit about Hellboy. Besides, "The Dark Knight" comes out the week after this one, so this one will plummet in its second week.kidhuman wrote:You bitches forgot Hellboy 2

not in the domestic area, but world-wide it raked in just under $100 mil. that more than made up the difference.Double_G wrote:Dude, that'll make, like, fifty bucks. The first one didn't even break even at the box office.kidhuman wrote:You bitches forgot Hellboy 2
i don't know about that, most people i know were excited about the first one. they need to get the word out on the second one more.General audiences (not including comic fans or Guillermo del Toro groupies) don't give a shit about Hellboy.
that's what has got me the most worried for this installment. kinda sucks. but we shall see. maybe a lot of people will go for double-features?Besides, "The Dark Knight" comes out the week after this one, so this one will plummet in its second week.
Life is short. STUNT IT!

Re: 2008
I don't think Harry Potter will be able to touch "The Dark Knight" this year. I might have said differently a few weeks ago, but over $300 million in ten days is pretty damn impressive.
Furthermore, I'm sure the massive box office return for "The Dark Knight" has made WB forget all about "Speed Racer" flopping.

I know there are only a couple weeks left in the year, but I'm going to say The Dark Knight wins.

Re: 2008
Both Harry Potter and Star Trek got bumped until next year. I suppose we'll have another list ready in a few weeks.
