"I'm Not There," about Bob Dylan

movies are cool. here is a place to talk about how cool they are. or maybe how much they suck, sometimes. like that fucking piece of shit 'mac and me'. worst fucking movie ever, a two-hour ad for fucking coca-cola.

"I'm Not There," about Bob Dylan

This movie looks like the shit that Snigtad's uncle has to wipe from his cock every day after Snigtad comes home from school.

I haven't seen much about it, but by your description, it sounds an awful lot like Across the Universe. (Not that I'll ever see that Beatles-defaming piece of shit.)
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Five different actors play Dylan at different times in his life. Including a black kid and Cate Blanchett.

I shouldn't need to say anything more.

However, I just looked up the soundtrack, and it looks pretty solid. Dylan covers, and one never before (commercially) released Dylan track that sounds quite good.

I knew about the different actors (I thought there were six, though). Covers albums generally piss me off, as very few covers are as good as the originals (unless the originals were really obscure or something and I'm used to the newer ones, like a lot of Led Zeppelin's early stuff). One of the many reasons Across the Universe pisses me off (though not why I referred to it earlier).
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

the difference is that most beatles covers are pure shit (almost total acception to the rule being the "i am sam" soundtrack - i like the aimee mann/random guy version of "two of us" better than the original...) whereas bob dylan, while a great WRITER is not such a great performer. his songs are almost MADE to be covers.
Life is short. STUNT IT!

Or any Beatles cover by Aerosmith or one of the Highwaymen.

I was actually thinking along those lines a few days ago while listening to Blonde on Blonde - great songs, just done alright.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

Isn't Bob Dylan a real guy, though? I guess they'll have to get his permission to make this, like they did with Spinal Tap.
"Jim? Who the hell is this 'Jim' character? I was gonna say something about that guy and his bad outfit, but you start talking about Jim. C'mon, tell me who Jim is. Are you cheating on me?"
