"weird al" yankovic - underappreciated genius

uh, y'know, the sounds that sound good together... sometimes... and sometimes sounds like the disgusting "squish squish" sound Slicker's mom makes whenever she walks

i haven't heard anything recently... his tour for "running with scissors" just ended recently, so he'll probably take a little time off.

i saw him three summers ago, at the beginning of that tour - it was AWESOME! they have so many costume changes, so that every block of songs seems like the videos, that there is a lot of down time, where they show clips from UHF and his actual vids and stuff - a really cool multi-media madness experience. i was going to see them two summers ago as well, but my dad didn't give me the tickets until the day of the concert - or should i say the day he THOUGHT the concert was on - it was two days to late!!! that really sucked. well, always next time, hopefully...

holy crap, my favorite new song of his is "bob" where it sounds like a bob dylan song, but every lyric is a palendrome... a sentence that can be read the same fowards as backwards...

"lisa bonet ate no basil"

"a dog, a panic, in a pagoda"

those are just two of the lines in the song. it's amazing!

Weird Al thread! I command thee to rise from the dead!
INTERNET LEAKS
…is the name we’re giving to the digital-only EP that previews songs from the next Weird Al album (which will be out sometime next year... we think). Internet Leaks contains the T.I. parody “Whatever You Like” as well as “Craigslist” and 3 other songs which will be released later this summer!
Craigslist (Doors parody):

Whatever You Like (not sure what it is a parody of).

Is the Doors song a specific parody, or just of their sound? And the other one is a parody of a song of the same name, by some rapper (I think it's TI). Both are pretty hilarious, though.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

It isn't any specific Doors song, just the sound. Supposedly the Doors keyboardist played on that song.

A lot it sounds a lot like When The Music's Over, but I couldn't tell you about the rest because it sucked so hard I stopped listening to it.

It's apparently good for Al that he can release songs digitally with no record company fuss, allowing him to get parodies out more quickly. With that in mind, The Doors? What's the rush?

I'll wait until the album. Not paying $1.29 each for these tracks, which is what iTunes and Amazon are charging since they're new.
