Re: The Sorting. The Fucking Sorting.

And here’s the drawer boxes in the next room. The top lids in the pic in the last post are on the other side of the wall with the Earth/Moon poster. The boxes on the left are alphabetized. And so are the ones on the right.
But they aren’t alpahabetized together. That’s my next sorta project.

Re: The Sorting. The Fucking Sorting.

Here’s all* the boxes from my parents’ house moved down into the basement. I Jenga’d the stack on the end for stability.

*minus 8 boxes that I got while in college from 1999-2005 before I moved out to CA. Those eight boxes I’m going to condense into the vast collection of drawer boxes.

Re: The name is Bond...

The entire 007 run has been on Amazon Prime this month, so I’ve been doing a rewatch over the last few weekends. I just finished both of Dalton’s films. Over the years my least favorite film has changed a few times. Golden Gun and Moonraker have been up there, as well as Diamonds are Forever. But th...

Re: Good ideas for new Characters

A hero called Blue Shift. His arch nemesis is the Red Mirage, who shows up with increasingly ridiculous evil plots and gets everybody worried. But then Blue Shift shows up and pretty much doesn’t really do anything except show the RM’s plan was just smoke and mirrors. Example; Red Mirage:Behold, I h...

Re: The Sorting. The Fucking Sorting.

I took an extra day off work this week, because I knew I wasn’t going to get it all done in one day. Or even two days. Last week, I cut another pallet in half and lugged it(them) down into the basement in preparation. The three remaining bins of action figures got moved temporarily into another corn...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

It was a five-week month, and the DC stuff didn’t show up yesterday, so it was a super small week(for me anyway). Barely spent $50. Here’s what I got. Amazing Spidey 60. Zeb Wells finishes up his run on the book. Captain America 14. Chasm:Curse of Kaine 3. Deadpool Team Up 3. Phases of the Moon Knig...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

The second half of this(last) week’s books. Action Comics 1069. Technically from a few weeks ago. Gail Simone’s final issue before Waid took over. Set in the early days of Superman’s tenure, he’s fighting in some sort of interstellar cage match with the entire planet watching. Action Comics 1072. St...

Re: DCU : The Original Universe

I just noticed on the All In issues I got this week that DC has adopted a Legacy numbering style similar to Marvel’s. Flash issue 14 is Legacy 814. Green Arrow 17 is Legacy 350. Superman 19 is Legacy 862. Wonder Woman 14 is Legacy 814. Nightwing 119 didn’t rate Legacy numbering apparently. But it wo...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

This week’s books. I bought a few more DC than I usually do. Because of the All In initiative, I thought I’d try some DC titles to see where various characters are at, and because the unifying theme of the covers; white background with an iconic pose for the main character, looked cool. I also found...

Mostly Hulk stuff. Howard the Duck 50th anniversary oneshot. Trapped in an anniversary celebration he wants no part of! Three What if stories(or Waugh If actually. What if Howard had won the presidency? What if Howard had joined the X-Men? And What if Howard became the new Star-Lord. Pretty funny st...

Haha. I was just thinking about how they turned the obvious red herring into the actual twist in the last one.
Perhaps that’s why they waited 22 years to do a sequel. So that people would have time to forget.

Zdarsky’s underwhelming run on Batman is finally coming to an end.
And he’s being replaced with Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee returning to do a sequel to Hush! Hush 2!!!

Fernando Valenzuela, MLB Pitcher for the Dodgers back in the 80s. He was the first rookie pitcher to open a season and took them to the World Series. Who remembers Fernandomania?

He was 63.
